They have fake google reviews. They also had a referral letter from Mario (who the targeted peraon knew and did contact). He did give a referral when the targeted person asked about this company by name

I met Dakota ******** at ********* ****** while I was inquiring to an employee about my rental property I was looking to hire a contractor for. Mr. ******** overheard our conversation and offered his personal business services. Mr. ******** emailed me his company information and we discussed what all needed to be done, agreed on a price, met up again in person and did a walk through of the property, and signed a contract for services. Mr ******** requested payment through cash app but I did not have that account, he refused a check stating he had a divorce suit and could not access his account and had to buy supplies to complete the job. He requested cash to pay his workers and to buy supplies up front. Two days later he requested more money and asked for the supplies to be bought so he could start the job. We denied extra money but we went ahead and purchased the supplies needed. He never picked up the supplies from OKC that I purchased, so I had to go pick them up . Three of his workers hung three pieces of sheetrock and we haven't seen him since. We have tried contacting Mr. ******** to get services rendered or money returned but he refuses to communicate and claims he is down on his luck.

On Aug 9, 2023, Timothy Cordingley came to our place and gave an estimate for some landscape work in backyard. We agreed on paying total $3750 and he demanded $1850 as advanced. We paid that by check. He promised to start and complete the work in next 1-2 weeks.

When we followed up, he would promise to start the work in next few days which did not happen. After numerous calls and text messages, he has stopped responding. We just want our money back and do not wish to work with this guy anymore.

His web site (https://tcordingleydesigns.com) has the same telephone number as he gave us (847-818-1234).

On a side note, the receipt he gave us for the deposit amount has his last name mentioned as "Codingley" where as the web site has "Cordingley", which may be a typo. However, the telephone is the same on the web site.

Started a landscaping project and left it incomplete, had to hire someone else to finish what was started. Tried to contact him and it was only I t to the police that he sent me messages again. He is now unwilling to return the money I gave him for the project only a fraction is was he is offering. His company name does not exist, he changed his phone number twice he has multiple facebook pages with different pictures but the same friends. I do not have his address.

Guys claiming to be from this company kept showing up unannounced to my property offering my father services,my father told them he wanted the whole driveway redone and put in and he had someone gonna do it for about 3500 and the guy gave him an estimate of 8000. My father told him no and the guy left, a day later comes by another guy from the same company saying hell drop it down to 6000 and my father said no again. Mt father was outside installing a new front screen door and one of them appeared again, insisting and said he could do it for 3600 and my father said he had already set the budget to 3500 and that he didnt have that money at the moment because the guy said he wanted to do it asap, that same day (saturday afternoon 8/19). He told him to come by Monday night when he my dad was home from ,if they could agree so they could talk about how, when, and payment wise. Monday at around 10am these men showed up at my property and started to remove the driveway and grass with no consent.

Found Mr. Martin Mcdonagh (aka Gerard Martin) through the Thumbtack app. He quoted me an estimate once he arrived and saw my property. Repairs included: powerwashing, resetting, sanding, and sealing patio pavers; repair driveway cracks; and fix front stoop. Stated which company he was with(Gateway) including his 8 year guarantee in addition to his $**** estimate. I was not given a Homeowners Rights brochure nor an Illinois Home and Remodeling Repair Act brochure. He said he would return to start the following Monday, but when he arrived he had me sign my agreement only. The next day he had his son do the work of powerwashing and the following day he had one of his workers repave pavers. He subsequently used playsand to fill my pavers(rather than polymeric) and did not seal the pavers. His repairing of driveway cracks consisted of putting slabs of concrete over them. The front stoop was done sloppily and hastily. I paid with a check and it was cashed at a US Bank within hours of payment. Within a few days I noticed excessive sand building up in the corners, which would not happen if it were sealed. In addition, growth was already coming through and there were concrete footsteps on my pavers. I took pictures and contacted him through Thumbtack. He said he would come correct everything. He eventually came only to add more playsand and used bleach to kill the weeds. He said he would return to correct everything else. I had also reported the cracks were also visible and were not repaired. He never returned.

American Remodeling calls claiming I have requested a roofing estimate which I have not done. I have repeatedly told them I am not interested and to remove me from the calling list. They then send an email saying they will speak with me soon.

Targets elderly people (ramps in front of home) offers to fix shingles/roof tiles for free then gives an estimate for all work needed on home. Says issues with home require him to notify the State about structure/termite issues unless they fix without involving State. Website/Facebook look legitimate but they are not. The Facebook has no likes/followers/reviews. Address for company in upstate NY is not a real address. Workers are like gypsies and speak with Irish accents. Showed up at victims home with brand new shiney shovels/ladders which had obviously never been used.

Take home- look legit. Target elderly. Request cash only as payment. Address fake. Website brand new. Facebook fake. Personable Irish accent men.

After service provided and paid for demanded more money. Provided fake receipts (years old) and used means of extortion in attempt to get consumer to pay.

the company and website mentioned does not exist. they have discounted bathroom vanities but when you call the number it is a random women in Colts Neck New Jersey. She knows nothing of the business and had been getting calls.

- Oklahoma City, OK, USA

He give me a false contract. He said he would replace and stain all wood trim on windows, doors wall and floor trim. He said He would tear out and replace kitchen and dinning room tiles. Instead He took the trim and base off my walls, took all the doors from my bedrooms, bathroom and closets doors. He took drawers from the hallway and my money and didn't return.

He scammed me and my family. I have his recent contact information if you're interested.

Mike Fuller and Karissa Fuller deceived me and stated they had a Florida contractor license. They do not! He tore my house apart and conveniently found damage that wasn’t there. He ruined my windows, fire wall, flooring and kitchen area using the wrong wool. Broke my tile, the archway came crashing down and continued to charge me and never bought the materials for my house. He stole thousands of dollars from me. He disclosed after I fired him he had tried to get his license in Minnesota and failed. I had to pay a Florida contractor to rebuild my home from the studs to make sure it was safe and passed inspection. He also ruined my roof from the inside of my house trying to jam in wood pieces to hold up the ceiling in which he destroyed. He is not a contractor and has no idea what he is doing.

This business ("Dunning Tuckpointing & Concrete") is a complete scam. First, they are not a registered business with the state of Illinois (see ilsos.gov) and they are not insured in this state. They have no website, and their alleged address (449 Randy Rd. Carol Stream) is actually a Truck Parts business. They won't give out any information, and they will take your money ($39 for a quote - their current "special") and your credit card number and run. The person who came (for 5 minutes, after ghosting me for the first appointment and attempting to reschedule the second) did not leave a business card, and would not respond to calls or emails. His number (872-267-9603) is also linked to a tax fraud scam, as I later discovered. His name is variously given as Martin, Oscar, and Jeff (and probably more fake names also). Everyone associated with this "business" gave me the complete runaround. When I called, I was assured a supervisor would contact me (one did not) and I was assured my money would be returned (it was not). The person who answers the phone ("Alfa") asks for a LOT of information, but gives out none. I suspect that all or nearly all of the five other Google reviews could be from fake accounts (note that three of them have ONLY ONE review). Do not, under any circumstances, attempt to do business with these fraudsters. Learn from my mistake!

person presented a contract, rushed us to give deposit, sent invoice and after that never showed up.

I hired a general contractor to do $56k and signed his estimate. I gave him $24k for a down deposit and he only did 5% of the work he promised. I asked for a refund and he hasn’t provided it to me. He scammed me of my money.

He scammed me and my family. I have his recent contact info. Please reach out to me.

I have his recent contact info. if you'd be interested in knowing his information. He scammed me and my family, as well.

Hector came promptly to my house and gave me verbal quote. Needed money to place order for fence materials at Home Depot. Gave him check which he cashed immediately. Order delayed, when went to get order he said it was wrong. Checked other companies for pricing. Pricing and product not agreed upon. Finally I said to just give my money back. He kept communicating by phone, texts and through NextDoor messaging. with promises and no-shows for 2 months. I kept after him. Mailed him Demand Letter and no response. Several others on NextDoor said they have also been scammed by this man. His real name is Hector Samuel Diaz Zavala. Phone number not listed under his name. Email I found for him is disconnected.
