Type of a scam Employment
I sent my resume via LinkedIn and gave them my email, phone number, name, employment history, activity history, and educational history. I then received a notification to sign up for their webinar via Calendly which then gave me an immediate webinar link to WebinarJam via the email I received from a man named Edwin who led the webinar. Edwin never gave his last name and claimed to represent Book with Jacob. Who had an entirely different website: https://bwjagents.com/, address: 1731 W. Glenoaks Blvd. Suite #202 Glendale, CA 91201, phone: (818) 450-8085, email: [email protected], and Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bookwithjacob/
I stayed on the webinar call for about 26 minutes before I researched Book with Jacob and found that it was reported to the ScamPulse.com so immediately logged off. There were likely bots messaging the group as the webinar was going on with very positive reactions to the presentation Edwin gave. There was also a bot posing as Jacob the founder and as administration for Book with Jacob. The webinar itself was about the travel agent industry, what the products are, what the commissions are, and how to market oneself. I also noted that I could not message the group because any of my messages would only go to the admin.
