I was told everything was fine, then last minute an URGENT Email came through I was also texted by the same number that had called me previously. Your puppy came to us in a wire crate which is not qualified enough to fly a puppy. But since the outbreak of COVID-19, The International Pet and Animal Transportation Association (IPATA) strongly suggests that all Pet Shipping Agents and pet owners who are relocating or traveling with their pets must ship them only in qualified Air-conditioned dog Travel carriers. This is a special kennel that guarantees the safety of your pet on and off the flight until delivery is completed.
I then contacted the breeder..
and was told this in an email -
"You need to cooperate with the shippers and have your puppy ship to you, they are not allowed to ship any pets into your state without an air electronic crate, the demand fee for the crate is refundable back to you upon the arrival of the baby at your local airport tonight, please go ahead and send the payment and let me know how you will like to get your refund from them either by cash, Zelle, or bank deposit."
I was given a tracking number with another courier named on the 'invoice' that would deliver from the airport in my state to me. I contacted them to make sure there were no hidden fees involved with them as well. They didn't have an account for the the happy tails trans courier or me.
I unfortunately did pay 200 to this as earlier in the morning the courier called me and I could hear a distressed puppy in the background. However, I believe that was part of the set up. I am consistantly being told his flight leaves in '3 hours' but won't give me any flight information aside that. I looked up flights from Maryland to my airport and none are leaving in 3 hours. The payment was insisted paypal friends and family. only. The tracking number provided does show a printable invoice however I'm not being given any specific flight information. The carrier is still listed as 'needed'
