Government Vacations Rewards Reports & Reviews (1)

Gov Vacation Rewards. Gov Vacation Rewards is open to active duty, retired military, government employees and civilian contractors. The program enables you to travel at a lower rate for the rest of your life.

Don't fall for this!

Gov Vacation Rewards is a big rip-off! You will spend a large amount of hard-earned money for little or nothing - you can book travel direct at a lower price, without paying fees and hidden charges.

Our experience with Gov Vacation Rewards has been consistently bad service and empty promises. Things like booking a 5 star resort and getting a 2 star room. Booking fees for air travel and higher prices for less service. Paying extra for preferred seating and then finding out at check in, the airline reservation was for the cheap seats, not what you paid for and expected.

If you book one of their preferred resorts ( Mayan Resorts) get ready for a hard sell job at the hotel. If you don't agree to submit to the all-day sales pitch to invest in a time share, you will end up in the most undesirable room and location on the property.

Once you sign up (over $2,000.00) - it's a constant sell job to give them more money - and when you do, they find a way to say - Oh yes, but that's not available, the resort rules say you are not eligible for this discount or stay. They will offer points for free travel - it isn't free! And by the way - good luck with understanding booking agents who can hardly speak English. The person who sells you the program speaks perfect English, but that's not who you will be booking your travel with.

In my opinion - Gov Vacation Rewards is an insult and disservice to all current and past military members. My recommendation: Do yourself a favor and find a better way to arrange vacation travel. Don't fall for this scam!
