Getinge Group Darrien Lewis Scam

Same experience as another person. Exact same text message but once they asked for skype, I got a bad feeling and looked up scams. Sure enough, I found this! Thank you Glennie. The number they used for me was 508-955-0504. I've attached pictures too so hopefully this will help someone else in the future.

Type of a scam Employment

Was contacted through text message by Darrien Lewis about a job with Getinge Group. Job going be remote data entry starting at $15 then going up to $25 after training. Was instructed to contact Shawn Peterson by using Skype for interview makes since giving that Getting is sweden-based company. I contacted Shawn through Skype and he introduced himself as head of HR also in charge of company growth and expansion of assets. After 15 questions mostly yes and no, he comes back and asks if I had certain pieces of equipment such as an HP laptop and HP printer fax combo but really precise on which ones I had to have after that he said he'll contact me in 10 to 15 minutes cause he had to talk to department head. After that he contacted me to congratulations you got the job then he told me that he was going to send me a check to go ahead and have a purchase the software used by the company back only purchase it through select vendor and no one else he never told me the vendor and and when I did get the email that had my check in it which is really odd it was just told me print it out put it on a piece of paper and do it for mobile deposit. I was starting to feel like this was very odd so I contacted Getting Group directly and they responded that this was a scam and not how they do their interview process or even offer checks like that granted the only thing I gave him was the name of my bank. Even the check looks funky when they gave to me in email especially when the name on the check says Cushing academy and not Getinge Group and the AOL email saying pay department was odd.
