I saw a rental listing on Craigslist and emailed the person. They got back to me extremely quickly and proceeded to send me links that sent me to numerous credit checking websites and instructed me to pay for them. This included TransUnion, ChoiceCreditScore, and ClickFreeScore. I paid for them and inputted my social security number and card information for each one. Finally, the person posing as a realtor asked me to Venmo them for a $200 "refundable" deposit to view the apartment, which I then identified as a scam and cut off contact. They sent me their Venmo information, which I've since reported.
