I got a call in March 2021 from a man stating he was from this law firm. I was being sued by this credit card co and they've been trying to reach me by coming to my house which is a lie. He told me it could be settled if I made payments but it had to at least be $50. He even emailed me forms to electronically sign and email back. Me being caught of guard and stupid I gave my debit card info so they have gotten $300 starting March til August. I canceled my card when I received another call from the same law firm stating the same situation. When I finally called the actual credit card company they told me that account is so old it can't be any type of collection on it. So as of September they got nothing (new card) but now they're calling daily from a private number so I can't block them.

SCAM SCAM SCAM. This scam artist nonsense is trying to collect on some old debt for which they can't collect--trust me--there's a statute of limitations on debt collection, meaning, if the company doesn't sue you by a certain time, they're out of luck, and it's not even on your credit score anymore, so don't pay it. Well, this company is the most desperate of the desperate, because they buy 10+ year old debts that they know they'll never collect on. And they will try to harass you and threaten law suits, but don't buy it--they will never be able to sue you for super old debts. Tell them to kiss off and stop calling you.

My mother who is a senior and only speaks Spanish received a call on her cell phone earlier today from a man stating he was an attorney from Galvin & Associates. When my mother confirmed her name and stated she didn't speak English the man called a woman to the phone who spoke Spanish. The lady asked my mother if she lived at the property provided and my mother then asked what the call was in regard to the woman provided a reference number and said she had to return the call to Galvin & Associates at 866-316-3103 with the reference number provided so that they could provide her with more details. They told her that her court hearing case was fast approaching and that she was facing a civil lawsuit but could not go into further details.

My mother frantically phoned me and I told her I would look into it and that it sounded like fraud. When I called the number with my number blocked I got a busy signal. When I called again with my number revealed a man answered with "Galvin & Associates". When I asked him what they did he replied a law firm. I asked him where they were located. He replied in California and that this was their corporate office and that they managed Civil Lawsuits. I then asked him for an attorney name with their firm. He replied do you have a case with us? and what is the case number? I said I would like to get the name of the attorney so that I can look up his license in the California Bar Directory and he replied why I needed that information. I then replied so that I can confirm that they are not a legitimate business and report them for calling seniors to harass them with false claims of a lawsuit pending. The man then said thank you for calling and hung up on me.
