Type of a scam Online Purchase
The order was confirmed by email that day (10/23/20, order #FD1954, email from [email protected]) and the total amount of $234.60 was paid by credit card. No shipment notification was ever sent. I inquired by email (as directed in the order confirmation email if there should be an issue) on three separate occasions and received no response. I downloaded the Shop App on my iphone, as that is where the "track my order" button took me on the order. The app does show the order, but has had the status "ordered placed" for over a month, with no shipping or tracking updates. It has now become evident that we will never hear from them because this is a scam website. The website looks very polished and professional, and they have social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, so at first look they seem legit. But they are conning people who are mourning loved ones. They should be shut down ASAP. At closer look, the address their website lists in Manhattan, 315 W. 36th Street, has an incorrect zip code (it lists 10001, but the zip for that address is 10018).
We will be contacting our credit card company to notify them of the scam and hope to get our money reimbursed, but I would not want others to fall for the same trap. Losing someone is hard enough, let alone chasing down your urns and keepsakes to remember them by. We have held up putting the remainder of my mom's ashes in her mausoleum because we have not had our urns, and nobody else should have to deal with such a con.
