I was applying for Jobs on LinkedIn, and then I saw a position to work as a customer support specialist. I applied for this position, and two days later, I received an email stating that they accepted my application, and I had to fill out a questionnaire in the email that was sent to me. The questionnaire included how many hours I was willing to work, verification of my contact information, and my bank deposit information. After doing so, I was told to deposit a check, and once that was done, they then instructed me to withdraw $500 as a sign-on bonus. I was sent the check through the mail, and I went to deposit it immediately. I had just opened my bank account, thinking I was going to start work right away. This afternoon, I received a letter from my bank stating that the check was returned and that my account has been closed.
