Report

Someone rang my doorbell telling me there was a problem with my chimney and that he could fix it for $80 CASH, then after I let him inspect the chimney he (named Mark) told me it needed more remedial work he could do for $2000 cash, and he could also extend the life of my roof for $3200 cash and give me a certificate. From the man's accent I knew he was British, which he confirmed during chat. No work was done but afterwards I discovered that Fox Contractors did not have an Ontario business licence and that its website did not have a verifiable address. Soon after, someone posted on the Nextdoor website warning that Fox Contractors is a scam company run by Mark Bell, and I have since discovered that someone in the area has paid a substantial amount of cash money for chimney and roofing work which has visibly been poorly carried out.
