I accidentally clicked on an ad while browsing MSN. I received several pop-up messages and a voice stating that my computer was breached. A number was listed to call (which I thought was Microsoft). When I spoke to the person, he said he could assist. He said Microsoft did not provide support, and he provided support for them. When he looked at my computer, he said there were many hackers who had my IP address. I was told he could correct it, and I had to pay $299.99. I gave him my debit card number and my account was charged. His name was Adam, but he was definitely Indian. That evening, I realized it was a scam and I deactivated my debit card and logged a dispute with my bank for a refund. Attachment is my receipt listing numbers and email addresses. I wrote those in, because when it printed it was all jumbled.
