Same thing here.! I was immediately contacted after applying to several positions on Indeed.com. I immediately was contacted via email to contact them through Skype. While they never actually asked for personal questions like banking social security number etc they sound legit. Offered lots of interesting intensives. To the least this sounds fake. They lastly wanted to send me a check via email to deposit my check right away to purchase softwares through a selected vendors of their choice. The pay per hour is what's interested. I know what I am worth but I am no fool. Be curious and be on the lookout for scammers.

They tried scamming my boyfriend with an offer of employment. They emailed him saying they found his resume on ziprecruiter and that they wanted to schedule an interview on google hangouts or skype at 8 am. There was no video portion to the interview- just them typing to each other. Interview questions were pretty generic. They told him at the end of the interview that they wanted to hire him. He was to sign on the next day at 8 am to start his training. They advertised $21/hr for training and $45/hr after training was complete. They said it was a full time position with paid vacation, medical, dental, life insurance, the works. They also said that he would work from home as they haven't opened any physical locations in the US (Ferrer is a real pharma company in Spain). During the interview the only thing they asked about was his name, address, and what bank he used. They didn't ask for any account info or SSN. They said he will have to buy the software, but that they will reimburse him for it. If you haven't read, that's how the scammers make the money. They own the vendors you buy from, send you a fake check to "reimburse" you, and then disappear. The next morning, they sent him a job offer letter asking him to sign, scan, and return. It was riddled with grammatical errors, so we wondered if they didn't have any native English speakers on their team (which is obviously insane for a multinational pharma company). The "name" of the person he was corresponding with was Mr. Jim Aris, or something like that. The domain was not the same domain as Ferrer (I applied directly to Ferrer myself to see what would happen) and he didn't have a phone number. At this point we did some research (thanks BBB!) and realized it's scam.

I was contacted via e-mail by mailto:[email protected] telling me that my resume had been approved for an online interview. I was asked to add contact to skype or google hangouts for a job interview the following morning. I did and the interview was pretty much run of the mill. I was told the company was looking to establish an office in California but they were currently operating out of Anchorage Alaska. In the end I was offered the position for data entry paying 45.00 dollars an hour and 21.00 dollars for training. I was told they would be mailing me a check to purchase the software I was going to utilize but to wait for instructions on the vendor's name. It sounded fishy to say the least. I played the game and once the interview was completed, I began a search of the internet and found that this scam has been going on with different company names ( the previous name that it was used was Servier Group instead of the correct name "Servier Pharmaceutical Company". Needless to say, I will not be communicating with this scamer. Be careful when being approach for a job that sounds too good to be true!

Here is the email that I received supposedly from this employer. I engaged in an online "interview" today and they claimed to have found me on ZipRecruiter. All the classic red flags were observed. Request for information that would have been readily available if they actually had access to my resume or ZipRecruiter profile, unrealistic salary and benefit package, extreme evasiveness when I asked about meeting in person and at least one request for the name of my bank and also an indication that I would only be meeting with my supervisor for training after they contacted me by email or phone to complete my "working papers". I can only assume that this information would have included my SS number and a bank account. I gave them nothing, just seemed to have gotten more information from them than they gave me. They also indicated that although the company headquarters were in Barcelona they would soon be opening offices in PA (in about a month) but could not be more specific as to where. I would think that they would know where they would be located by now. Work from home, online assignments, yada, yada, yada. I called their bluff and pulled the plug on the conversation after I had gathered what I needed. They said their current office in the USA is located at 310 K Street, Suite 200, Ankorage, Alaska 99501. This location is a virtual office and there is no listing for Ferrer there. I looked up Ferrer on ZIpRecruiter, no results found for jobs. They have a profile on LinkedIn but no jobs posted, not even in Spain. There is a website for Ferrer Pharmaceutical but at this point who knows if that is even real. I got a virus infection alert message after I logged off of the chat and now I am receive pop ups from tityx.com. Resolving erectile dysfunction, etc. I'll get my laptop cleaned.
