Said they sent a Notice that went out regarding Federal student loan. Pre qualified for repayment options. Call back before status changes. Will keep in the pending status. When I called them back and told them that my husband does not have any student loans, a man then said, “yes you do, you both do, we pulled your credit report and we will be garnishing your wages”. He then hung up.

Last week I received a message on my cell phone that may be a scam. The caller stated they were with the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program.Her name was Megan. Call back phone number 309-220-3361. Message stated it is a time sensitive issue. Call back as soon as possible. I called the number back and reached a recording. It asked if I made over $1000 or $700 a month. When I replied yes a man came on the line. He asked the same questions. When I answered he hung up on me.I called back twice and the phone did not ring. They probably blocked me.

Left voicemail saying "Yes , this is Donna Fields and I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan, Um, I need to discuss your repayment options, there have been some changes taking place recently, so if you could just give me a call back my number is 866-288-1661. And, um, I'm going to give you a reference number if you would just have this handy when you call back it'll make things a lot easier. Your reference number is 440405. Thank you"

I have received countless calls from this number regarding my inquiry about their program - although I have never contacted them for any information. A voicemail is left of a woman leaving a call back number of an 800 number and it's done in such a way that it sounds like a real-time message but after receiving the message at least twice, it's obvious it's a recording made specifically to sound that way. I've called the 800 number and selected the option to be removed from their call list several times to no avail. I have now answered the call and spoke directly to someone, demanding to be removed. Since they are calling from CA and I live in NJ, I have threatened federal harassment charges since they are persistent in ignoring my request and contacting me across state lines.

So I just got a call & message (bc if I don’t recognize your number, I *** well will NOT answer your call - you can leave a msg) from 714-752-3628 saying that I have not finished the paperwork for my federal student loan forgiveness application and that I need to call them back at 202-810-4238 to finish or my application will be rejected. I DO NOT HAVE NOR NEED A FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN ***, so stop phishing and find a real job!

It really *** ** *** that these people will lie, cheat and steal from honest people who are innocent and trusting enough to think these are legitimate phone calls!

Please be careful who you talk to on the phone and add these numbers to your spam list. I will be listing this phishing expedition on the ScamPulse.com momentarily.
