A man called my father claiming to be his grandson. He said he had been in a hit and run accident in Florida, and needed money for legal fees. A second man claiming to be the lawyer for the "grandson" told my father how to get money to his grandson - go to Walmart, get $4,000 in gift cards, then call back with the card numbers and other information. Disgusting.

When the call first came in, the guy said, hi grandpa, do you know who this is... my father immediately thought it was his grandson. It went downhill from there.
