One of our friends expressed they came across this website that sells exotic birds and were looking to purchase a baby macaw - well we have a scarlet macaw which we have had for 15 years - my husband and I decided we would research and see if this site was legit and navigate the site - after review my husband saw a military macaw that was for sale for appx 1500.00 - we started a communication string via whatsup app to see about the bird and how they operate - the conversation was going well until we noticed some red flags - when we inquired about the bird it took this individual a minute to reply back - we inquired about an updated pic of the military macaw - the individual provided one but it was during the day pic with a white mans arm extended holding the bird - that was a red flag because when we reached out it was nightime in our region - as the conversation proceeded I inquired if the business was registered with the Avain Association- the individual stated yes - which was another red flag because this organization is for veterinarians not bird businesses - the individual continues to state a bill of sale will be sent to my email address along with the contractual agreement - what bother my husband and I was when we inquired about the process to purchase a bird the respond back was it would not matter for a screening becasue we are already parrot owners - that was disturbing to me - well I reached out to our friends who went through this website to see if any further communication was provided - our friends provded a copy of the bill of sale they received - I told them to not proceed until we have further information - when we completed our whatsup conversatiom we expressed to the individual we would like a call to further discuss and for the bill of sale to be sent so we could review - when I recieved the bill of sale i noticed there were some discrepancies from our bill of sale and the one our friends recieved - we did recieve a call from a Davon Moore but when I answered the call the gentlman had a very strong accent and I had to ask him to repeat his name twice - i then stated i did some research on his business regarding his association and registration with the Avian Association and he was very nonchalant about it - when I expressed that his business could not he registered he did not have a response - I also inquired about his address and that it shows as a residential address and was registered to different owners and he just did not correspond he was very unspoken and did not have a clue about Amazon Birds in general - i then expressed we were not going to do buiness with him and disconnected the call - that is why i am writing this complaint becuase if this is truly a legitimate business the real owners may want to take heed of what is taking place - what does not make sense is the website has individuals names that did not seem real - and this Davon Moore did not even have an ideal of who they were
