Charles supposedly from PSE&G called stating he has a disconnect order for my work location and provided me with a work order number and the telephone number 888-712-3586 to call to take care of my "past due" utility bill. They wanted me to go to Walmart and then provide them with my cell number to which they will send a barcode and this barcode will be used to pay a past due shut off amount of $1,489.64. Obviously , I knew it was a scam because we didn't owe any money on our account but the number almost seems legit when you call. People please beware when these people call you. NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR BANK INFO - HANG UP AND CALL THE UTILITY COMPANY NUMBER FROM THE BILL ITSELF

A man who said he was Robert Calley called and said he was a lineman and was coming to the office to shut off the electricity because of non-payment. I checked and found the bill was current, no money was due. I called the number he gave me, 888-712-3586, and someone there said to go and buy gift cards and then call him when I have done so. Suspecting a scam, I asked for a copy of the current bill to show that a balance was due, but I never received one, and concluded this was a scam.

Scammer called my place of business Saturday morning saying he was a lineman with Eversource providing a courtesy call that he was on his way to shut off the business's power but that the shut off could be avoided if I called 888-712-3586 immediately to provide payment. He said I should call the number and give him his name (Charles Rappaport) and truck number (Truck Unit 1367) when I called. He did not offer an account number or an amount due when asked, saying as a lineman he was not provided with that information, but did use our office name and address in an attempt to offer credibility. Given the Atlanta, GA area code he was calling from, his tone of voice, and unlikely nature of the situation, I pegged it as a scam almost immediately and provided no information/took no further action.

I literally just received a phone call from Charles Rappaport, truck number 1367, claiming to be a PSE&G lineman, coming to disconnect service at our office building for non-payment. He provided us with a work order #DQ100228 and a phone number to call (888)712-3586. We instantly knew this was a scam so we decided to have a little fun with these [censored]. We called the number and played along. They said we owed $14,998.86 and all 15 meters (we don't actually have 15 meters at the building, we just said that number) were going to be disconnected in 30-45 minutes! We needed to pay cash or debit card at a payment center! Although we had fun toying with this [censored], it's sad because the elderly fall for this. I hope he burns in hell for playing a role in this scam!

I received a phonecall from someone posing as eversource. They stated that i was in danger of a service interruption if i did not call their billing department immediately. My account is current and the number did not return anything from a google search. So I didn't return their call.

+14752030097 is the number they called from, but it's probably a spoof.

The initial call was an Eversource dispatcher saying they had a work order to cancel our electric service today, they transferred me to finance department saying that they had sent us a notification 3 months ago and that we needed to pay them via zelle, that our account was blocked and we couldn't pay through the normal bill payment, fortunately I don't use Zelle so they couldn't get the payment so they texted us a barcode and told us to go to CVS to pay in cash. En route I called eversource and they said that they didn't have a workorder to cancel service. When they called back I told them that I had called Eversource and Bank of America to notify them of these scammers and they hung up. The other numbers they called me from are 4752442389, 866-5729791.

Eversource called to check if a $190 refund went into back account. In order to check this they needed banking account details , social security, license numbers. They were able to change home phone to call forward to 601-286-1504. Names used were Brian Walker and Walter Rite.
