Originally booked a stay through Airbnb and then was invited to book subsequent stays directly through the company, which I did and stayed in different units for multiple weeks in Birmingham AL. I travel for work and have been a responsible tenant with zero complaints. If I ever even accidentally damaged property, I notify the owner as I take responsibility for my stays and am respectful of other people’s property. This company required a $200 security deposit which would be refunded after check out. I noticed that the charge never came off my card and when I inquired about this, they claimed they contacted me via email to inform me that there was damage to the property so I would not get my deposit back. They never emailed me. I requested to see the alleged damage and they texted me photos of major stains on a comforter and carpet, which were absolutely not there when I left the property. When I continued to press, they just kept saying the determination had been made and weren’t willing to investigate further. When I tried to call back the next day, they had blocked my number. My wife and son called from their phones and they answered but have since blocked their numbers as well. I had requested they send me the original email as well as the original pictures and they never responded. This company also operates under the name Elite Suites and they have multiple listings across various platforms. I have disputed the charge with my credit card, but just want others to be aware.
