Ordered a "handmade rug"

Dud but research company as I usually do. Maneuvers that this a company that products are made by machines in china. Very low quality !!!

- Augusta, GA, USA • Aug 28, 2026

Craftfolk obviously lies about the quality and origin of their products. I have challenged with my **** card. They supply shamefully cheap replicas of what they advertise as being hand-crafted items. I bought a cat rug that was probably worth a tenth of what I paid.

- Morristown, NJ, USA • Aug 25, 2026

I watched an infomercial about a woman in Colorado, who had been making tote purses for decades and closing her business, and that they were only a limited amount of the purses left. So I bought two. One for me one for my granddaughter. The photos of the product looked three-dimensional and exactly like a purse worth $59 would look. What I received was 6” square, folded up, cheap canvas bags that are given away for free by our grocery stores. They are worth $1 dollar, not $59.

- Williamsburg, KY, USA • Aug 16, 2026

Advertised as hand made artisan garden flowers under the name of Dot Callaway as the artist. The website is Craftfolk. What I received was mass manufactured junk make in Hong Kong that did not in anyway resemble the product that was advertised. This was not hand made by a Dot Callaway in North Carolina. Do not buy from this website, is a scam and a nightmare to get a refund, which I don't believe I will ever receive.

- Sutter Creek, CA, USA • Jul 31, 2026

Same as already described. Advertised as a handcrafted quilted tote by a retiring Appalachian artisan. Instead a polyester printed cheap mass produced bag worth no more than 2.00 was delivered. I paid 59.00. The payment was processed in London. Not the US as advertised.

- New Paltz, NY, USA • Jul 28, 2026

Fake article about retiring artisan with link to purchase items. Then they sent a cheap version of what was ordered.

- Boise, ID, USA • Jul 21, 2026

I received an ad marketing American artisan made products from Craftfolk. Once I received the items they were obviously cheaply produced and I saw there was a foreign transaction fee from London. I emailed the company but the email was not valid. After looking closer the website was a scam with fake review boxes that could not actually be accessed.

- San Mateo, CA, USA • Jul 20, 2026

Through their Craftfolk, I purchased a "Hazel's Handmade Shell Bag" made by a 72 year old woman who has arthritis and is retiring unable to continue her business and selling all her goods. I haven't received the item.

- Seattle, WA, USA • Jul 12, 2026

They advertise bags for $59 each as handmade embroidered in the USA and charge a premium price for mass-produced printed junk out of Hong Kong. Total ripoff and FALSE advertising.

- Niceville, FL, USA • Jul 04, 2026

Bought two items. They were not as described. Bait and switch. Wanted to return. That address was in Hong Kong although the shipping address for the product was in GA. The company would not send a prepaid label so I returned item to the shipping address in GA. No invoice was enclosed so I had to put my name and address on a piece of paper. I filed a fraudulent charge with my credit card.

- Wyncote, PA, USA • Jul 04, 2026

Attracted to a scam Website that, on later inspection, was listed as fraudulent as recently as June 26, 2026.

- Louisville, OH, USA • Jun 23, 2026

The advertised item was an upside down "umbrella" shaped water item to hang from a tree so birds could land and get a drink. When it arrived, it was much smaller and was very shallow than the photo made it appear.

- Binghamton, NY, USA • Jun 23, 2026

Read reviews online about this Craftfolk AFTER I made the purchase. Everything seemed legit till I read some reviews. I think I was taken!

- Castle Rock, CO, USA • Jun 22, 2026

I ordered 8 ceramic flowers to be used for water supply for bees. They arrived and are so tiny they cannot possibly hold water. When I emailed the merchant, they gave me an address in Hong Kong to mail it back.

- Helena, MT, USA • Jun 05, 2026

I ordered 2 bags from Craftfolk. They were supposedly hand crafted individually, created by a woman at her home in Vermont. Instead I received 2 bags from overseas that were mass produced and not at all handquilted with top quality fabric. I am trying to request a refund but their policy states I have to mail it back to China.

- Oshkosh, WI, USA • Jun 04, 2026

Craftfolk had a picture of the items and showed the items larger than what they really are. What I actually received were very tiny compared to the photo. I sent an email asking for my money back on this scam and was told to send the item back which was to Hong Kong. I texted it would cost more than the total item. They have done nothing to fix this scam. My order: HT 55004.

- Utica, NY, USA • Jun 03, 2026

Product claimed to be handmade in USA with hand sewn applique. Product was garbage, bag was mass produced and nothing at all described.

- Canton, OH, USA • Jun 03, 2026

I purchased a tote from craftfolk and it was nothing like it described online. They say I can return and then gave me an address in Hong. The tote was supposed to have hand appliqued sheep on it. The tote was supposedly handmade in North Carolina.

- Post Falls, ID, USA • May 14, 2026

Craftfolk - bogus site that makes you think that you are going to receive an artisans product, because the Artist is closing down their business. Made to look as though its an artist that lives in the US. I purchased June's, (artist name) bird nesting heart. Supposedly hand crafted and has real llama fur in it for the birds to make a soft natural birds nest. The heart I received has man made materials in it. It arrived in a box from China. I tried get a refund but I would have to send it back to Hong Kong. I also saw the item sent on TEMU for $5.00. I paid $35.00. The return address is: Level 7, World Trust Tower, 50 Stanley Central, Hong Kong.

- Abilene, TX, USA • Apr 20, 2026

Purchase of supposedly handmade bee cups in the USA. Instead received resin cups from China. They belong in a dollar store.
