I just saw an article talking about a scam where people are repackaging old company names and fraudulantly selling heavy equipment online, getting wire transfers and not delivering the equipment. That just happened to us. My husband was looking for a backhoe for a few months. We had already been attempted to be scammed so we were cautious at this point. The website looked so legitimate. I looked them up on google earth and found a storefront so we thought this one was safe. My husband found a backhoe he liked on the website, equipmentparts-inc.com so he called the number on the page. No one answered but he got a call back from a woman named Emily a few minutes later. After discussing the equipment and our fears of being scammed with her, she talked us into feeling comfortable with them. She sent over a contract and said we would have to wire the money. That worried me but she said all the right things; told us we could fly out there to see it or that we shouldn't puchase if we were worried. After researching the company more we decided to sign the contract and send the money. Emily called my husband every day for over a week confirming where the backhoe was on its trip from Oklahoma to Virginia and when it would be here. Two days before it was supossed to be here they said the weather was bad so it would arrive the following Tuesday because they don't work weekends. My husband got a call from "the driver" on the following Monday confirming they would deliver Tuesday evening. Tuesday came and went and no one showed. We started calling both numbers we had accumulated but got no answer. Then they blocked my husband's number. I was calling from my phone and could get through but no answer (our numbers are the same except the last 4). Once I started looking through things I discovered more issues and red flags. When we wired the money it went to a company named Agriconstruct Solutions. I had seen that before but we just thought it was the parent company's name. When I researched them, they turned out to be another heavy equipment sales company out of Miami, FL. They have a very similar website, wording and setup. I'm 99% sure they are another branch of what is clearly a ring of individuals pulling this scam. We went to the bank and attempted a wire revearsal from their bank, Bank of America. They told us there was a chamce of recovering some of the funds but it would take 45 days to find out. That time is not up yet. When we went to our bank, Navy Federal, they were shocked by the scam and website, saying it was one of the most intricate scams they had seen and that they thought it was the next level of emerging fraud. We have tried to file police reports with The Virginia State Police but they have proven difficult and although I have talked to a criminal investigator, the cyber crimes investigator has yet to call even after my numerous calls so my police report has not been taken... YET. No one seems to care. We were taken for a lot of money. We are a tiny hobby farm with dreams of being self-sufficient some day, who saved for YEARS to buy that piece of equipment and I can't even get a police report. These are dirty, dirty people that need to be stopped who are hurting everyday people and farmers. Like it isn't hard enough as it is. I am happy to share their contracts, phone numbers, names, websites and banking information to anyone that will listen so if you want more info about these people or this scam I hope you reach out to me and I will happily provide anything that will help bury these dirtbags under the jail.

I found these folks on craig's list and found a pretty decent deal on an excavator. I spoke with them over the phone and they said I would be paying through wells fargo. The prices on their equipment are way lower than normal, and that made my red flags shoot up. According to them they say they buy things at auction and try to turn a profit. I spoke with the ScamPulse.com to get more info and after speaking with them, they found the website is very new (as of November 4th), the equipment parts inc at the same address closed down a couple years ago, and they are utilizing same said address as a place of operation.
