We recently purchased a excavator from the emter machine web site located in Sidney Montana.. Have Bill of sale , warranty, and money transfer papers. Suppose to be delivered yesterday. Tried to call. Phone is disconnected. Looked for web site. It's gone. No excavator and I'm out 20,000. This place is a scam

The scammers are reposting images and videos of heavy machinery from multiple sources, one being tractorhouse. original poster (not same machine, but same machine yard, look at background) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gco4rc2At_o, repost as emtermachine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPiI_fewa8A. Emter Machine's website is less than 30 days old, as is their youtube account and it is unlisted. There is an Emter Machine, LLC listed in Montana' SoS, but it's address (371 Hump Creek Road Reed Point, Montana, 59069) is different than that listed on the emtermachine.co site (480 25th Ave NW, Sidney, MT 59270). The address listed on emtermachine.co is a government road equipment yard (according to google and the county gis site), and does not look at all like the stock yards in any of their photos or videos. All of the numbers associated with the craigslist listings are not in Montana (what clued me in originally). Phone numbers used include: 810-256-0277, 516-229-1663, 201-822-5661, 720-805-9127. When calling and talking to the scammers they only accept payment through direct bank transfer (red flag), and they say that the money will go into an escrow account that when pressed they said that they manage (they confirmed that they are the seller, which in my experience escrow accounts cannot be self managed per the TILA). Every logistical aspect was overly positive including $0.40 per mile transport fee, a 5-day no-price return period on an 11,000 lb machine with no return fee, a 6 month/1500 parts/labor/transport warranty that is supposed to be honored at any local dealership, and they advertise buyers paying no taxes or fees for the purchase.
