Invited me to a remote Webex chat meeting, genuine technical questions, no Audio of video meetings, no phone calls. Sent me a offer letter, was offered a laptop, iPhone, monitors, office chair, desk and remote computer equipment etc, asked me to procure them from their vendor with the check image that they sent me via email and they asked me to mobile deposit into my account, a total of 6900$ and asked me to wire transfer 6300$ to equipment vendor immediately after I receive the deposit funds into my account the next day. I told them that my bank is flagging the wire transfer to the account they provided, so they asked me to open PayPal and transfer 3000 and 3300 to 2 different accounts via PayPal family and friends. That’s when I got a doubt, I check my account, the money has been taken back by my bank due to a check bounce I believe. They now have my name address and my drivers Licence, let’s see what comes next. But good luck to ya all and don’t fall for these scams

Everything including the interview (should have been the first clue) was done by zoom text, not a video text. I do not even know what country this person is from. I was sent a check for equipment for my position, and when I started to use it, I noticed this morning, my bank account was in the negative. I called my bank who identified that the check had been rejected, but did not yet have a reason why the check was rejected, so I am still sitting here wondering why the check was rejected. I never once heard this person's voice or saw their actual face.
