I was sent an email for a job as a graphic designer from the human resources management via a link to escape interview. None camera just Skype messaging seemed a little odd although I thought it was how the gap was doing their hiring these days because of Covid it seemed legit because it came through indeed. I ended up providing all my personal information. They ended up sending a check for me to do a mobile depositand then also provided my cash app information for authorization to do direct deposit. The lady’s name was Tina Petallides. I believe with the data breach of AT&T Experian Cash app, Wells Fargo, Bank of America anything that anyone’s email telephone numbers addresses are linked to their mobile devices or online identification is now compromise because the access to control or turn on cameras locate track, change, impersonate, and create fraudulent data or codes of data is more accessible than the public and authorities are led to believe based on the experiences I’ve been having. I believe the scammers and hackers are doing is creating lines of code that authorize payments and that can access people‘s device identifiers as well as impersonate legal large companies such as the IRS so that Banks don’t question the digital authorization and allow transactions to occur as well as digital input that is not corrected by legitimate employees of companies that authorize or allow completion of transactions. Digital authorization is key and the very important and significant part of what Blockchain is the most secure, digital transaction of today’s modern world doesn’t mean everything needs to be digital it’s just that if transactions are gonna be digital whether signed documents photos or tender, Blockchain is the most secure.

I was job searching on Indeed and Linkendl and I received a message from a Jennifer Rodriguez with InFocus Therapeutics Inc. I was told by Jennifer to download Microsoft Teams because the company was trying "something new" to interview "clients". I was told about the company and what positions were available, Data Entry Analyst and Customer Service. I was told the pay range, which was up to $30 hourly and it was unlimited paid time off. I was asked if I had a bank account, but I did not give any information about the account. While in Microsoft Teams doing the interview, i was asked a bunch of "professional" questions (15) about previous job experiences, personality traits, how would I fit in with the company and if I could perform my job well. After the interview was done, I was told my information will be reviewed and if hired I will be contacted. Jennifer assigned another "appointment" and said "don't be late". We were going to meet to discuss my bank account information for "payroll". I was rather shocked by the stern and precise way the "interview" was handled; doing an interview on Microsoft Teams sounded kind of odd. I guess that was their way of having time to access whatever while I was typing answers to the "interview questions." Hope this helps. The company may be a legit interview, but when I googled the company I did not find much information about the company and I did not see any "career opportunities" for a Data Entry Analyst or Customer Service.

They contacted me on watsapp, introduced me to the job, it was easy.

Doing 40 tasks 3 times a day, get a commission and can withdraw all your money after task completion . They told me it had a total of 4 VIPs .There was also whats called Combined tasks, so if you encounter this one, you get a negative balance and you have to clear the negative before you continue.

So i did the 1st day and surely did not encounter any Combined task, good for me. I got a profit of 1000 baht and managed to withdraw all my money. They said apart from the commission i also get a fixed salary of 800usd is i work for 5 Conservative days.

Thats when i started to question myself coz it was too good to be true.

Then i started searching on the Internet of the socalled vip, Combined tasks, negetive balance etc ( just the same language they use on the platform)

I saw a lot of people crying that they got scammed through that and had lost tones of money.

I decided to quit , blocked the phoned numbers on all platforms and deleted the link . I was just lucky

This company knows my name and business email address as far as I know. There were multiple links in the email to complete. I assume this was an attempt to retrieve further identifying information.

A task job scam, also known as a mission scam, is a type of investment fraud where scammers lure victims into completing online tasks in exchange for money. Scammers often use messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram to contact victims with job offers that seem too good to be true. These jobs may offer: Flexible hours, Work-from-home opportunities, High rates of pay, and No prior experience required.

Scammers may start by listing tasks that seem reasonable, such as liking YouTube videos or rating apps. They may offer small payouts to build trust, and then make it difficult for victims to reach their targets. For example, they may create tasks that are artificially difficult or impossible to complete. They may also set a minimum number of tasks to complete per day.

I responded to a post in a Facebook group about a job opportunity working from home. I message Tonya Curtis and she gave me all the details on how to get an interview--- I had to download the SIGNAL app, message phone number 401-216-9818 and text code Aq8y.

I was responded to nicely with a welcome and an explanation of the interview process. I answered 15 questions and waited about 10min and they were happy to hire me. I was skeptical, but optimistic. I gave a bit of info, but made the mistake of sending a copy of my license. The interviewer, Elizabeth Meader Orean, had good answers for all my questions. Seemed crazy, but I unfortunately fell for it. I feel so stupid for allowing her to access my phone account where she added a payment and ordered my devices to be sent directly to me. Thank goodness Verizon felt that these purchases for an iPad and iPhone were suspicious! I continued conversations via text... and she refused to talk by phone. I went to the Verizon store today and he let me know that he gets a lot of requests like this, but I should be able to talk to someone via phone and the fact that she wanted me to get the BEST devices possible was a definite red flag. So... I put everything on hold. I came home and did more digging and found all of these warnings. I am so thankful I changed my account password, but still. very worried what she was able to collect off that account. Like they say--- if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Claimed to be Backbone Business Solutions on LinkedIn. Remote Work. After paying $396 I realized I shouldn't have to pay for training, certifications and licensing. I cancelled and they are refusing to refund me. This is a scam. I have reported to my credit card company. Merchant REFUSES to refund me.

- Kankakee, IL, USA • Sep 17, 2024

Texted me about a job offer making $29 an hour, wanted to interview me via Microsoft teams. This was a WAH opportunity but they sent me a $4700 check to purchase programs and softwares which was confusing because usually companies supply that along with the equipment. Seems Fraudulent, I will Not be depositing any checks, I have Not received any equipment either. Was really looking for a Job and this is ridiculous to play with peoples hopes and dreams.
