I saw the Data Entry position posted on FB, and it looked liked a legit opportunity.

I got an uneasy feeling when they asked me to submit front and back of DL and social over teams, but Elizabeth Meador Orean presented a photo of her employee ID.

Something still didnt sit well with me so i looked her name up on LinkedIn and didnt find anything. When i googled her name I found the ScamPulse.com and several other scam reports.

Someone else contacted me pretending to be from HR of the company in New York. This person was trying to get me to fill out additonal identifying paperwork and was trying to get access to my FB page.

Scam!!

I was offered a freelancer job. i had to copy 30 pages and convert them to a pdf file. they offered $50 per page. they first used Facebook and then telegram to contact me. Telegram users (@Harris_Ann), (@standardfinc) and (@Account_Payable).

Well I finished the project and requested my payment as promised. they took all day to "process" the payment. Then they asked for a "1 time payment fee to authorize my the payment". I didnt buy it. never had to buy or pay for me to get paid. please be aware!

Couse just now it contacted me and was a little suspicious that it wanted me to chat from telegram as well, and yes the Telegram user was ''@Harris_Ann'' :(

I was looking for side work and followed a link from facebook. Was told i was gonna be leaving reviews on products to help boost yhrir rankings. Then was told i had to pay my own money to make money from the job.

There was a face Book post that a friend of a friend was looking to hire, I gave my information and they wanted me deposit the two $850.00 checks into my account and wanted me to transfer money to one person and Cash app would only allow me to send $500.00.  The money is to be used to buy software.  The person they wanted me to send the money to on cash app Olga 1859 Fabrikina and the person who is claiming to be is Hunter Manner.  The interview process was weird and they asked me send a resume.  The only asked me for my name, address, email and send them a copy of my drivers' license.

Someone posted on a job board on Facebook for a data entry position hiring fully remote. They stated to DM them, I did, and they provided a Microsoft teams link and referral code. Someone conducted an "interview" but this was all over Team's Chat service. They started requesting my information as I had "passed" the assessment but when I saw the review above about another individual losing money, I didn't provide my personal info, but instead asked would I need to purchase anything before training. They stated things would be needed, but provided by the company other than an IPAD PRO so I stopped communications.

The company hires without an interview or phone interview.

Asked to do a "trial period" and asked me to use my personal bank account to secure payments for their customers, through a Bitcoin wallet.

I found a job on Indeed with Power Kids. I got an email from [email protected] them saying they would interview me through Chatwork app introduced by Better Business Bureau.

A Facebook page called The WFH Guru has many admins claiming to have job connections. They tell people they have jobs waiting for them simply by paying these admins to take “assessments”. The money is asked for via messenger where the admins claim to have a link and “leads”. They throw big names around lien Conduent. Conduent verified that they do not know these people.

I was addressed through facebook and messenger about job opportuiny through Aetna Insurance. The insitance and messaging interview was weird. They did not ask for resume and immediately did an offer.

I received a text message regarding my resume that was posted on Career Builder and told to dowload Google Chat and to contact the hiring manager. I didnt get a response from him until the next day and the structure of his language was very bad and he asked questions that normally a job applicant would ask the employer (another flag) then the next day he sent this

The company has decided to give you a chance to work for the company. I hope you will be a great asset to the company and create a good career for yourself here as you are about to start working as an administrative/data entry clerk.

The company will send you a check for your working materials, which will be mailed to you today. You should have the check in your mailbox by tomorrow or the next day. I will provide you with the tracking number for the check when the accounting department sends me the FedEx or UPS tracking number.

When you receive the check, Head to your bank or ATM machine and have it deposited into your account; funds will be posted and made available later in the evening or in the morning. Also ask the teller about the availability of funds for confirmation, and email me with a scanned or screen shot of the deposit confirmation receipt with your account number hidden for record purposes.

When the funds are available for you to make the purchase for the working materials, you are required to make the payment from the private vendor recommended by the company. I will be available to instruct you on how to make the payment to the vendor when the funds are available. We have our reasons for this because the software and office equipment are specified by the company. The vendor will install the software programs on the Mac Book before mailing them to you to avoid installation errors and programming difficulties from you or any other party in the future, but we insist that this will help both you and the company to enable you to start your training as soon as possible when you receive the working materials.

After setting up your home office, you will meet the company representatives in person. You will sign your W-4 and benefit documents. You have the opportunity to ask more questions and learn more about the company.

The check will be mailed out today. You should receive the check within 24 to 48 hours. I will provide you with the tracking number for the check tomorrow morning when the payroll team sends me the Fedex or USPS tracking number for the check.

A lady posted on Facebook about at home job offer. I when through the instant message 3 hr interview and was apparently offered the job. I did give my driver's license after continuous conversation. Below is a copy and paste of the policy:

POLICY AND CONDITIONS FOR NEW EMPLOYEES

Below are the laid down policies for staffing of new employees:

All new employees would upon selection undergo mandatory one week training

New employees do not get to start work until all equipment is in place

The company equipment will not be transferred to a third party.

On no account should a staff abandon work schedule or neglect duties on

working hours without prior notice of absence to the appropriate body.

The equipment to start work should be purchased from a company certified vendor alone.

All details for funding would be met and provided by a new employee; these

details include account name, account number, routing number, online

access i.e. username and password which is only to be used for tracking

of the company funds in the employee's account alone.

The fund for the procurement of equipment shall not be left dormant in an employee account for more than 24 hours

On no account should an employee divert company fund for personal use,

excuse of paying back at a later date would not be accepted and

defaulting party shall be handed over to the company's legal department.

Damaged equipment can only be replaced upon satisfactory explanation from the

staff and a team head, handwritten and sent to the appropriate body.

ALL MEMBERS NEEDED TO READ AND UNDERSTOOD.

We have had about 20 people call us since December to let us know that scammers are impersonating Prevent Blindness Texas and trying to hire them for a data entry work from home position, which we are not hiring for that position and no where is that position listed. We are hiring for other positions. These scammers are using Facebook and Facebook Messenger to contact people about this job and then interviewing them via Teams. They are then sending forms that request personal information, including bank information, for people to fill out.

I was given a job offer by a person claiming to be from theAPPsolutions company, which is an American Company (which I searched. Do not know if there are other companies named the same and there was no logo provided by the scammer). However, the number that is listed on my WhatsApp is +84 92 605 02 29. The '+84' is from Vietnam. I asked very basic questions, like name and job specifics. The person claimed their name was Nikki from Human Resources, but gave me no last name. "Nikki" could not give me specifics on the job. I was given a very vague description like "job is simple, non-technical, and no work experience required. This is an online job, no location, no time limit. etc." They claimed that you could make $100-$500 a day for just 1-2 hours of "work", and $5,000-$9,000 per month depending your role and whether you prefer part time or full time work. After asking over and over about job specifics, I was given this answer, "Our job is like shopping online. We usually see traders with high sales and high rankings. If there is a product, we will consider buying it first. As a result, some merchant apps do no have sales and rankings and users do not browse." "Nikki" really pushed for my age saying that the company requires you to be between the ages of 20 and 70. To get more information, I responded "I am between those ages," but Nikki wanted a specific number so I said 69. They then followed up by asking for my WhatsApp account number, which I have no idea what that means. Their response,.."Excuses me, Can I add you with the same number on WhatsApp?" This confused me. We were already talking on WhatsApp. So that means nikki isn't using WhatsApp? I got bored and didn't want to continue the conversation, but had I they would have someone else contact me.

A person claiming to be from Curon Biopharmaceuticals Limited contacted me about a job even though I never remember applying for them. They said they’d send me a check even though they were gonna “give me supplies.” If that were the case why not just give me the supplies instead of the check?

At the beginning of December I was contacted by a Jessica Cronin in regards to a position as a remote Data Entry Clerk for Seres. I communicated with her via RingCentral and was, what I assumed, hired for the position. I was sent a check electronically to deposit into my checking account to use to purchase equipment for my home in order to do the job. I made her aware that because of potential scams that my banks policy was told hold the check for 9 business days to ensure it was legit and would clear. I have heard nothing further from this Jessica...a supposed Senior Recruiter for this company and the check was apparently stopped or bounced back so now not only am I out of a job that I was hired for but now I have the issue of the returned check. To say I'm disgusted and disappointed is a GROSS understatement. How utterly unprofessional of this Jessica to completely cease any and all communications with me without any formal explanation whatsoever!

Its for a online job at Apex. They started offering to pay off my credit card and pay me 100.00 dollars before i even started. They wanted me to buy about 3000 dollars in computer equipment. Said they would send me a credit card.the thing that got me was they asked if i was close to a printer because they were going to text me a check and i was supposed to print it and go drposite it in my debt account. I gave them my full name, my bank i use.my address and a selfie. I asked for proof of the company.now everything is erased and the website will not come up.
