Same experience. Got a groupon coupon. They came and made up a story that my ducts had mold and they can’t provide service without solving that first (800$). I declined and told them that I would solve it and call them back. I called another company and could not find any mold. I tried to reschedule three times, they stood me up three times. Worst experience ever. Scammers! I got a reimbursement from groupon through a dispute with my credit card. Don’t trust them.

Eco Ducts – Nothing but Lies and Excuses

Eco Ducts is the most unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with. I purchased a Groupon for a dryer vent cleaning and scheduled an appointment a month in advance. On the day of service, I received a last-minute call from 240-326-3224, claiming the technician fell off a roof and couldn’t make it. They rescheduled me for two weeks later.

When that day arrived, they called again with another excuse—this time saying the same technician now had COVID-19. After waiting over two months for a simple service, it’s clear this company is nothing but a scam.

They waste your time with fake appointments and excuses. Avoid Eco Ducts at all costs!

Home Improvement Contractor Scam

I purchased a Groupon for a dryer vent cleaning service from Eco Ducts and call them to come out to complete the service. We live in a new build and had the dryer vent cleaned about a year ago so we expected to process to be smooth. After the team member arrived and began to start the process he came downstairs to say we had a clog in our dryer vent and that his manager told him they could clean out the clog for $279 if we would leave a good review on Groupon (when normally they charged $499). My husband and I were shocked to hear there was a clog and felt something was off so we declined the offer. The technician then came back again and said his manager said they could go down to $179 and I declined again. They did refund my Groupon purchase. I was finally able to locate the contact details for the team who had done the dryer vent cleaning the previous year and they came out within 2 days to confirm there was no clog and the dryer vents were actually very clean. This team did the dryer vent cleaning for the original agreed upon price and we were so glad we didn’t get scammed by Eco Ducts.
