I was under the impression I was speaking with Carnival cruise line regarding getting a refund for a cruise I just was unable to make. The “representative” said by purchasing insurance I would be able to get my cruise refunded and the additional money back they were requesting I pay now. I gave my information and debit card information and was sent a confirmation from Carnival (or what I thought was Carnival) stating a confirmation number and refund reference number, amount of refund and when I could expect the refund. After not receiving my refund I attempted to call the number on the email and the number is non functional. After calling Carnival they have no record of my request for refund and state they have never emailed anything to my email address about a refund or them requesting insurance money for refund.
