I received a letter from a purported law firm, Daniel White of Duffering LLP, regarding a permanent life insurance policy belonging to a deceased individual who shares my last name but is unknown to me. The letter lists addresses at 473 Mundet Place, Suite US711208, Hillside, NJ 07205 and 81 Garry St Unit 1, Winnipeg, MB. It directs recipients to contact telephone number 226-828-9350 and website www.dufferingpartners.com. I believe this may be an inheritance or life insurance phishing scam.

Scammer attempted to send a letter of an accidental death benefit distribution of unfound claimants to an estate. Letter came to my wife's office.

Received a very official letter advising a "Norbert *****" had passed away. The letter advised to contact Daniel White. Research on the two addresses revealed that one in Canada was a mall and the one in NJ was a company called USAdress.com. There was also a clear inconsistency in that they referred to Norbert as Mr. but then as "her estate". The website looked very legitimate and even had a contact page. I initiated a contact to see what would happen even though I am convinced it is a scam. We will see how they respond and how they attempt to gleen information.
