Unfortunately, as much as I dread to say it, the company is a scam. They are a fraud.
I saw the ad on Facebook, and continued believing for numerous weeks that he would, indeed, finish the cabinets and countertops. He didn't. Everyday he would speak of coming the next day, and he never did. It was always "We're busy with other clients" or "The shop hasn't finished them, I'm going there right now." I eventually stopped calling, because it got so absurd that he would tell me he's going to the shop in the late evening, and was going to have them done for me the same night. I'm not naive, it was past working hours, therefore there was no way it would be happening as he claimed. I work hard for my money. It's hard to come by for us, and I just wanted to make a small renovation to please myself and those I live with. Asking me to pay 50% prior to the task being completed was understandable. However, 50% was a lot of money for me, as I had been getting quite a bit of work done from them. I don't have the resources to take legal action, so I kept quiet. I also had stopped calling, because he no longer answered my calls.
I'm not uneducated. I didn't fall for the scam on purpose. Omid Abbasi contacts those who he supposedly "works with" to come and take measurements. They make it seem and appeal to you, as if they are committed and are trustworthy. This includes claiming to have business in a large outreach of locations. However, the moment you give them the advance payment, they stop answering your calls, texts, and other means of communication. A direct contradiction in behaviour to what they appear to be prior to you giving them the money. He gives you a shop address and makes it seem like you can visit anytime. You can't, there's nothing there, and it's not even owned by him.
Please, just don't fall for the scam. He won't return your money, and you'll be left filled with dread wishing you hadn't done it. I chose to speak out, because I saw the recent posts of others. Just don't affiliate, and deny all the opportunities presented to you to give them money.
