I was sent a text with a job offer to be a Remote Data Entry Clerk for Doctor Anywhere Pte Ltd. They said they reviewed my resume from Indeed and wanted to offer me the position. It was $17 per hour to train for 2 weeks and $20 an hour once I was on full-time. They offered benefits and the website but after looking everywhere for the position being offered, I couldn't find it. I was contacted by Walter James who referred me to Steven Bradley. They asked me to download Zoom and proceeded to conduct the interview via zoom messages. I answered them and they sent me an offer letter to sign. They asked for basic info on the resume they claimed to have like my name, number, and email address. they asked for the name of my bank but made sure not to ask for any other details. They told me I got the job without any actual face-to-face interview or phone interview and proceeded to say they would send me a check to purchase office equipment and that any leftover funds would be a sign-on bonus for me. I asked if I would ever need to pay it back or if it locked me into a contract and they said I could leave the company whenever I wanted. I was told the check would be arriving the next day and I was to deposit it immediately and let them know once I had done it. It was here that I started piecing everything together. There are no scams with this company or names yet which is why it took me so long as I was just naive to get hired somewhere remotely. They wanted me to check in at 8 am for 3 days and their responses were very cut and paste. I also received another text from 551 400-6943 about an email from Dennis Schnatz- a lawyer wanting to hire an aide but he didn't want to provide any details or even his law office name. The message was in my spam folder and the text told me to respond to it asap. The email associated with this scam was [email protected]
