We just got a bill from Judges Demand saying we owe £250 to Fredrick Edwards we signed up last year on a NO WIN NO FEE basis they have not contacted us at all, have tried email that doesn’t work nobody answers the phone, stay away go to a professional company.

My experience of this company is all BAD!
FREDRICK EDWARDS cold called me out of no where in February 2022 and told me they could claim back tax on PPI . They rushed me through an electronic sign up without explaining terms and conditions. They then during the cancellation period claimed they were going to act by contacting HMRC to claim my tax back for PPI and they did nothing I contacted HMRC to see if they had carried out work for myself and HMRC sent me a letter saying they had done no work for me (SURPRISE SURPRISE) NO WIN NO FEE T&C'S. Since then i have had numerous emails claiming i have to pay them a cancellation fee for not contacting them , when i did. Then they even offered me a cheap option pay off to get me to go for it .Fredrick Edwards are having many bad reviews with all the same complaints against them about how they do there business, so it is clearly a SCAM to extract money out of people . Don't be fooled by it.

Do not approach or use this company. They have no interest in personal service only manipulating people out of money through coercive behaviour. Refused to waive charges despite them only being liable after a family members death. Avoid at all cost!

Emailed me saying if I want to cancel I have to pay £240 i don't even know who they are but I'm on benefits never even been married and they are getting absolutely nothing off me for something to do with marriage tax if they wanna take me to court crack on they will get awarded a £1 a month which i currently pay to another company and goes on till im 84 years old I'm now 43 and they won't get anything till that's finished anyway but they are wasting there time contacting me they getting nothing out of me

Fredric Edwards pushed me into trying to claim back money owed by HMRC - no contact from HMRC (or refund) or Fredric Edwards - Now they are asking for a fee which has now escalated and threatening to put the debt in the hands of dept collectors - They state in the web site - Fee is only charged on successful claim... Why am I being charged for nothing done - this is a sheer scam and will be asking them to appear in court to settle this

I am in exactly the same situation from these cowboys. Looking at companies House they Could be insolvent within a year as they owe £100,000 to creditors and are owed £80,000 from the people they are trying to rip off. Yet they state they have claimed £20 million in tax claims and their fees are 40% + vat mmmm why are they in debt then?
No win no fee, they can swivel I have fully cooperated with them yet my bill is now at £375. I will be speaking to a solicitor very soon.

Absolutely disgusted by Fredrick Edwards, advised I need to pay £200 so they can close case re hmrc claim, told me I did not cooperate and was waiting on me to reply to an email, sorry but never recieved email as I would have replied, spoke to a Stacey no surname and only one in company, told me I couldn't speak to a manager or supervisor, being charged for SFA, disgusted

I had a call in June 21 advising they could submit a tax claim for me as I'd had a settled PPI claim. They sent me a text which had a link to my documents. I checked them & signed. A few weeks later they called me to confirm the details and explain the process. They advised me HMRC had a backlog and it may be a while before I hear anything. Yesterday they sent me a text asking me to call them. It turns out they claimed just over £800 back for me. Yes their fee might sound high at 40% but theyve done all the work for me. I dont see what people's problems are. You expect to be charged for a service!

Had an phone call out of the blue from this company claiming they could help claim over paid tax (if any) and they would look into any claim they thought we might have.I was then pressured into signing an onscreen document,the guy on the phone was speaking very quick and said this must be done quickly,it all seemed rushed and without being told about any terms and conditions that applied to the signing of said document.This also applied to my wife.As time went on we never heard anything from them.I then had an email from them asking for two hundred pounds each as they had canceled the claim as they could not get in touch with us to progress the claim any further so we had broken the terms and conditions by them not being able to contact us.Never had any correspondence from them and as for phone calls we are out all day and never had any messages left on the answer phone so were unaware any one had called.Now if it was that important should they have at least left a message for use to contact them,as for any emails my laptop screen had broken so it took some time to get it fixed so any emails sent i would not have known.Be very aware of dealing with this company we feel very let down but will be taking legal advice on this matter.

Hi Paul, what was the outcome here? I too had a very rushed call, no email although they stated when sent, next case closed and told I owe then 240.00, I told them never recieved email but falling on deaf ears.

Paul, I received a similar letter so called them. They explained they'd been trying to contact me. I hadn't answered the calls as I forgot who they were. They credited the invoice. Why not call them? The lady I spoke to was lovely and sorted it out for me

Avoid Fredrickedwards at all cost they pressurised me to sign the agreement over the phone without telling me to read the terms and conditions .The fees they charge are extortionate 40% + Vat .save yourself alot of money claim it back yourself go on line gov.uk fill in form R38

Quality of service Dolly124? Absolutely zero knowledge of how the tax system works isn't Quality service and the fact the company director is only director in name as his partner is disqualified from being a company director is all you need to know.

Absolute scammers they tried to claim I owed them money from a ppi claim which in fact was my tax allowance that everyone who pays tax is entitled to and is on everyone's tax statement. This year my allowance is 40% as I fall into the high tax bracket so they'd have charged me more. When challenged it was obvious they had no basic understanding of this tax system and still tried to argue the point until the penny dropped when my cousin a qualified accountant with 20 years experience tied them in knots over the phone

Due to I had a phone call they kept ringing me every other day in September 20 and then all of a sudden didn’t hear anything but then HM revenue sent me a letter say stating they sent £164 to Fredricks and I’ve call them and I receive £85 because they take 40% and then 48% VAT that is a total rip-off it’s bad enough them taking a fee but to take VAT on top he didn’t explain that in the call but when I spoke to him sarcastically said well it is a fee An i said yes but you’ve took a fee why do you need VAT on top he was very smug so i get 85 pound out of 164 even though not heard anything for months an not even told me that they received a cheque from HM revenue very sneaky

All calls made to clients are recorded and all advisors have a script they must follow which includes details of our fee. We also advise all customers they are free to submit their claim to HMRC themselves.
We have to charge VAT, its the law. We wish we didn't have to, but we have to follow the law.
There are lots of other Companies offering a similar service for higher fees. We provide a professional service to our clients and have helped our customers claim back over £10 million pounds.

I received a call from these people claiming that I was entitled to a refund from tax deducted from FRS who dealt with my PPI claim. They were asking me to confirm my details even my national insurance no. I decided to end the call and they were demanding 40% of any refund due. Complete scam!

You were called by FRS who handled your initial PPI claim offering to claim back the tax that was deducted from your settled claims. FRS work with Fredrick Edwards who are one of the leading Tax Claims Companies in the UK. The fee is only charged on successful claims. There are lots of other Companies charging a much higher fee but its your choice who you use. There is no scam at all!

I have worked with this firm and they are genuine people who want to help claim back money. Yes they have a high fee but the quality service they bring to the table justifies the fee. Nobody works for nothing.

He called and stated he worked for the United States Government (Investigation department). He explained that I was under investigation but never providing reasoning behind the investigstion. He was extremely rude and wouldn't let me get a word in. I still confused by the call but I figure it was someone attempting to scam me for money.
