First, I was blinded by the loss of our family pet and wanting to do something nice for my kids. One of those two good to be true situations that didn't think through until it was too late. I messaged them and they requested a deposit sent via chime too hold the dog and then the rest of the payment before they would send the dog. I was going to drive 4 hours to meet them when I started getting second thoughts. I asked to have them facetime me or "coin" the dog with a piece of paper and today's date, and they immediately said it was company policy not to do that. I finally realized it wasn't legit and googled the Chime account I sent money to. $Mendearter15 belongs to Mendy Sigala. I found several other posts on this same site for other dog scams relating to Mendy. Never got my deposit back, but at least they only got $300.
