I suspect this to be a scam. I received a message from Andreea Feier through LinkedIn; it is a remote position with Custom House Capital which seems to be a legit company. I was not provided a mailing address and I checked out the website prior to applying. I was sent a link to take a virtual screening then contacted to advise of an offer. I signed the agreement through Docu sign then the manager contacted me through email and sent me a link with a passcode to communicate through Flock. Unfortunately, after sending my SSN and ID information I started to be uncomfortable when I was asked to set-up a pre-paid direct deposit and debit card account. I asked for additional information as this remote work is all new to me. I then asked in the chat, if I would need to pay for any tools and software needed for the job, like quickbooks. The manager said that I do not because they use the free version of quickbooks. That seemed odd to me because this is a big company from and would probably have their own account especially since the free quickbooks would be for a short term access. I have saved emails if needed.
