I found the ad on a website, and I called the number provided. The person called me back, he told me his name is Sam and he is a sales representative. I then asked him if he gives free estimates, and he said yes. We set an appointment on August 11th. He gave me a free estimate and some paperwork that he filled out. He gave me an estimate of $725 and told me that half has to be a down payment for materials and workers, and it would take 2 weeks. When I did not hear from the person, I called him back a couple of times. I then told him that I didn't hear from him or his workers at all, and after that point he ceased all communication with me. He also cashed the check that he asked me for the day I gave it to him, and his name was on the check, not the business name.
