I applied online to the Library of Congress for a copyright. It is a simple process with a $45 filing fee - something I have done numerous times. Somehow this FAKE company (the subject of my complaint) “Copyright Registry Online” stole my info and billed my c/c for $164.95. BOGUS, BOGUS, BOGUS. I disputed the charge with my c/c company and will hopefully get a refund.

This website poses as the US Copyright Office, and it charges you an extra fee to register your copyright, when you could just go directly to the real US Copyright Office website. Furthermore, they claim ownership of your copyright.

uscopyright is pretending to be the U.S. Copyright Office. At no point in the copyright process do they declare themselves to be a third party agency charging an excessive and unnecessary $100.00 "processing fee." They have created a logo that appears to be the United States' American Eagle logo, with a "C" in place of the United States Seal. Their site's colors and the text used throughout the process is designed deliberately to mislead. At every point in the process, they are attempting to appear the sole party responsible for administration of US copyright.
