Received email advising apple account is locked and to provide social security number to unlock account.

I have been called 4 times today and 3 times yesterday by someone telling me my Apple i cloud acct. has been breached. I would like to block these calls but not sure how.

- Edmond, OK, USA

I received an email showing "Receipt From Apple Payment" with a PDF receipt file. I have not made a purchase from Apple.

- Red House, WV, USA

Said they were from Apple and possible fraud on my bank account. Said do not contact my financial institute. I waited as stated and when some one came on the line I had told them what had been said. Immediately they hung up.

- Canton, OH, USA

I got a phishing email claiming to be Apple that said my credit card would be blocked in my Apple account if I didn't fill in the information required. Unfortunately I did it before I called Apple. Apple told me I had been Phished. That they never ask for that kind of information. I have since changed my credit cards and put a freeze on Expeian, Transunion, and the other credit bureau that I don't remember its name right now.

I'm thinking of changing my SSN but don't know who to go to for help to do this. I'm 88 yrs old and don't know if I can do it myself.

- Clinton, OK, USA

I received an email from Apple saying my Apple ID had been used to purchase a Pokémon Go tax program for $99.99 that I had not ordered.

There was a place to cancel the purchase as well as a place to report a problem. When I clicked on it, I had to log in to Apple and complete an info sheet with address, etc. the last question was asking for my social security number. I knew better than to answer that and immediately exited. I know Apple would never ask for that information.

I didn’t realize the email until I started this complaint and went back to the email. Sending both the email and the invoice.

I got a call saying there was a problem with my iCloud account. I don't have one.

- Millersville, MD, USA

Kept receiving phone calls on my message system, about every 15 minutes, all day on January 20, 2020 asking that I call back to number 615-514-2430 re my Apple ICloud had been compromised. I never called back, very annoying, and i do even own an Apple Product.

- Shirley, MA, USA

They called me 4 times within 3 hours with an automated system. I spoke to 2 people and asked them to stop calling me! They argued with me instead.

- Appomattox, VA, USA

I have received numerous calls stating my Apple account had been hacked.  I told him I did not have an Apple account and he said someone in Germany had hacked my android phone.

- Meherrin, VA, USA

They are calling every hour and my Apple iPod has nothing but music on it. and has not been used (turned on) in months like maybe a year. The last call i picked up and told them i had contacted ScamPulse.com and i hung up. They have not called back.

On December 5th, I googled Apple Customer Service online because I needed to fix my Apple ID. I reached a woman who told me to download an app called "QuickSupport" and then they walked me through step by step how to fix it. The 3rd person I spoke to swore he was corporate Apple. Then they told me they needed my debit card to verify my identity. They also told me to download Apple pay to verify who I was, and then they told me to transfer $300 to ApplePay, and that I would get the money back. After each transaction, they came back and said it didn't work. I did it 4x. Then he said it still didn't work, and I should go to the Dollar Store and buy an eBay card for $400. I said my account is down to $50 I can't do it. I am a nurse, and I told them I had to go, I couldn't do it anymore. I contacted Apple. I contacted my bank who has issued a provisional credit. The men and women all had accents.

Repeated phone calls from this number with an automated voice telling me that my Apple ID has been compromised and to press one to speak to their representatives now to fix it.

I received an automated message that Apple was calling to tell me that they believed that my Apple iCould account was hacked and to not use my phone to look at any banking information or make any purchases on my phone. I got transferred to somebody who was supposed to be able to assist me. It sounded like he must have been in a call center because there was a lot of background noise of other people when I got connect (like they may have been assisting other callers). I said I received a message about my iCloud, then he hung up on me. I tried calling the number back, and the number had told me that I could qualify for something if I was over the age of 50, but to press # if I was not. I didn't press anything and hung up. It's concerning that this number was posing as Apple stating information about my iCould account.

I fell for this scam an am ashamed.

I have received 5 calls in the span of two hours. Starts off as “Molly” from Apple tech support telling me my iCloud account has been hacked. When you press 1 for the technician, he couldn’t tell me whose account was hacked (I live with 3 roommates), so he went down a list of names. I don’t own an apple product and told him so. He hung up, then I get the same call over and over. The second guy I spoke with said I can’t do anything online because my bank acct would be compromised. I could hear in the background he was sitting in a room with other scammers trying to convince people to give them their iCloud acct information, bank account information, etc. I hung and called the number back. It’s an Apple store in Miami and the recording states they are aware people are being called and scammed,

Spilled pop up on computer -states call Apple Support.

Called fake Apple support -stated computer hacked-and to upgrade need I-Tunes card (2) @$100.00 per card, then they would send me cashiers check back to my address.

Rec'd an email notification that we'd purportedly ordered an Apple gift card to be emailed to a listed email address unknown to us. It had a large button in the email to "Dispute this Purchase." Said we had 24 hrs to dispute.

Because it was not a purchase we'd made, I nearly clicked on the button. However, caution being the better part of valor, I resisted. A few days later I checked all our credit card statements and nothing charged to any of them. However, I can't help but wonder how many people might have had the same email and unwittingly possibly given out their personal info in the process of "disputing the purchase."

I am getting calls on Thursday for the last two weeks from these ***. Reporting it so you are aware and hoping to build a case to either nuke these *** from orbit (Trump would love it) or at least throw them in jail if ever found.

They are calling three or four times a day but only on Thursdays from the number listed. Assuming it's not a spoofed number. I do press 1 but don't talk just tie them up so these [censored] can't steal from others.

Thanks
