Claiming to be with Schneider Electric Reports & Reviews (3)

The same happened to me. The first thing that alert me is that they sent $4800.00 check by email. When I asked the supposedly supervisor, he told me that this is a bonus that they give to the new employees to buy the office furniture. The check was from Truly Title, Inc. When I asked why is the check coming from this company, he started telling me a lot of BS, including that this company is a business partner and they did the check because the Main Company is in French. Those hackers are formers HR recruiter, probably temporary personal that use to work for Schneider Electric and took home one contract. The thing is that they are probably smarter than the average person. They are very organized and act very professional. They can easily scamm a lot of people in need for a good job. I am thinking to keep playing with them, to make them loose the time without sending any information or money. Please tell all your friends about this scam.

Scammer contacted me via text message with the following: Hello, I am (deleted name) from Schneider Electric company. Your resume was reviewed on the WorkinTexas system and your background and experience qualify you for the Admin/Data Entry position at the firm. Reply if interested to schedule an interview. I responded that I am interested and gave times to schedule an interview. I received a message the next day saying to add the interview manager via google hangouts for a briefing and interview session or to schedule right away with (deleted name). After doing so, instead of scheduling an interview, she sent a series of questions through google hangouts for me to answer saying the interview should take no more than 30 minutes. She started by giving me background information to the company and laying out the responsibilities. Then typed out the following questions to answer:

..Answer the following below:

1) Are you currently employed?

2) Are you seeking a part time or full time job?

3) Why do you feel you can do Data entry?

4) How would you describe your work ethics?

5) What is your current typing speed?

6) On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your use of Ms Excel?

7) Do you prefer to work on your own or as part of a team?

8 ) Describe a situation when the workload was heavy, how were you able to complete it before the deadline that was given to you?

9) What milestone have you accomplished in your whole career that was remarkable and you would love to share?

10) What are your strengths and weaknesses and how does it affect your job performance ?

11) Give 5 reasons why you feel you should be hired to work for us.

Note -The answers you provide will be reviewed by one of our HR personnel

The protection and security of the personal data that you may entrust to us during this employment process are of great importance to us. That is why we are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your data in the most confidential way.

Afterwards, she told me to send my resume and references directly to her and I would hear back the next morning at 8am. The next day I received a letter of employment and a non-disclosure agreement and was told to add another person to google hangouts that would be my supervisor who would give instructions on how to send the forms back should I accept. After following the supervisor's instructions, he gave me an assignment to complete in 2 hours. He said the training would take a week and at the end of the week I would be meeting with someone locally to fill out the rest of my W2 paperwork. But before we could proceed with the rest of training, they would send a macbook out to me with the software I needed to do my job. In order to put the software on it, I needed to pay $800 in upfront costs to place the software on the computer, but I would be reimbursed. I declined and said I didn't have the funds, then came and reported to BBB. Here is the following transcript of that particular text:

..Prior to the next assessment, A Macbook will be mailed out to you today for the rest of training. The Laptop will contain all the necessary video tutorials and company Data which will be used for training. However, You are required to make a purchase of $800 via Zelle to install the softwares and time tracker on it.

Here are the names of the software programs:

Peachtree Complete Accounting Software, CYMA IV for Windows Accounting Software, MYOB Business Essentials Accounting Software and QuickBooks Pro Accounting Software.

I will be training you on how to navigate the following programs and software above.

Note - The $800 will be reimbursed once the check is delivered.

I believe you can handle that today?

+1

I got an almost identical message today--see attached. Didn't follow through, good on you for collecting info
