Type of a scam Phishing
I asked if the company's based in Grand Island. The man said something to the effect of 'yeah, we're out in the community now' so I asked where the office is.
"Technically, we're not in your city," he replied.
He sure implied they were based here. I asked where the office was and he admitted he had no idea. He works from home making calls.
I identified myself as a journalist, which I am, and asked if he was misleading people. He hung up.
A name like "City Roofers" is difficult to Google. I can't find a company called that locally. I also find no company registered with a name like that in the Secretary of State's database.
