Cisco Technology Reports & Reviews (9)

I also received a job offer with Cisco via Telegram and Jeannine Jacobson. After I questioned her she got defensive and insulted that I would think such a thing. So I played along further and received a check via email in the amount of $1950.00 from the Credit Union of Nebraska. It was so obviously fake. I called her out and pointed out how bogus the check looked after she was pressuring me to cash it. Since then, crickets. I reached out to the bank in NE and let them know this was happening. I also forwarded the email with the pictures. The will do their investigation. I plan on trying to reach someone in Cisco or the actual Jeannine as well because this has got to stop.

I completed the interview on signal and the whole process was fishy. They said they were going to mail a check by tomorrow. If I receive it, I'm going to the police station to turn it in.

Please beware of these ruthless scammers! If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!

I got couple of similar texts I got and was asked to download the Signal app to contact HR for an interview. I found it odd because I have not interviewed like this before. It sounded too good to be true so i looked her up to Linkedin and found a person with the same name but no affiliation with Cisco. And then they said they will send a bonus check and funds for me to purchase equipment. I let her go on while i did the research and came across this page. Thank the Lord my gut feeling was right. No bank info was given out. Someone should investigate these scammers.!

I just received a text message just like the one that you guys are describing. I, also, got another one that pretty much said the exact same thing yesterday (it added that I was perfect for the position) from Danaher Company from Jenna Dewan (who's actually an actress/dancer...NOT an HR Recruiter). I truly hope and pray that people research these bogus texts before doing anything...ESPECIALLY when it sounds way too good to be true. It definitely doesn't hurt to look into it first before doing anything bc it will save alot of trouble and loss of $ in the long run. Please be careful everyone.
Below is the text that I got today:

I got the exact text and Yes sounds too good to be true

I received a job offer on November 18th from someone claiming to be Mrs jacobsen. I have not received a check yet but they insist it's on its way. I'm glad I did my homework and didn't cash it or give them my information. They showed me a legit work badge with her name and phote on it. Seemed legit until they asked strange questions like to take photos of my office space, myself and I knew then something was off.

Was contacted today by a "Jennifer Rivera from Cisco" through text and was told to download an app "Signal-Private Messenger". There I would text back and forth with a "Jeannine Jacobsen" about a job offer. It all seemed very legit until I contacted my bank, and thankfully my agent said it might be a scam and to do my homework on it. Unfortunately she was exactly right. Total scam do not under any circumstances give these scammers you personal info, or cash any checks by them.

Like Terry I was contacted by the same individuals. I only received one check and noticed the routing number didn’t match the bank it had listed and there were no water marks on it. This was sent via FedEx and when I asked about all the discrepancies I was told it was their partner who sends them out. This is no doubt a scam where they are using Ms. Jacobsen’s picture and name (first name missing an extra N in it). Hopefully if anyone does try and cash these checks their bank will realize it is on printer paper and is a fake.

Was contacted for a Job offer , given two fake checks to deposit into my bank account . Was then asked to send money via zelle to the email address [email protected] under the name John. Was contacted by someone using a fake name of Mrs. Jeannine Jacobsen using the contact number 707 -797-0605 and Eric Thomas (fake name) using the email address [email protected]. these people/ persons are scammers
