Scammer called from (854) 288-4759 claiming to be a chime customer service representative told my husband if he had tired to make purchase and he said no. They said they would create him a new account number and he can have his stuff switched over to that new account. He has never experienced anything like that and didn’t realize the “new account” number was actually a phone number. He was also at work and was rushing. He then transferred what we had (1400) it to the “new account” and basically gave them everything he had in there. It wasn’t until he came home and explained everything to me that I told him it was a scam. I on the other hand have experience with this as I worked as a fraud investigator with Airbnb for sometime. So I quickly caught on. I called the number back and obviously they were still answering as a chime agent. I confronted her and she said “b*** you’re not getting your money back” laughed in my face and hung up.
