I searched for a discounted fare for my son to fly home. I received an email saying the flight was confirmed. Then I began receiving calls saying the return leg of the roundtrip was only available standby and that I would have to "upgrade" to actually get a seat on the flight that I had already purchased. The company said they could not cancel the ticket or refund any money. If the ticket had been labeled as standby only I would never have purchased it.
