Advertises on FB, instagram, and offer up as a furniture builder. Operating under a legitimate contractors license and business name (Dinwiddie & co). Provided business card with contractor license and drivers license. Commissed to make patio furniture for a total of $3k and paid $1500 upfront in September 24 with a completion date of January. Ignored texts and calls, disconnected his phone, got a hold of his father who holds the license, said he’s working on it and it will be done soon. Finally told me it would be delivered 4/30 and of course nothing. Requested refund and nothing.

Found another woman he scammed on his instagram page and then found this person he scammed on here.

Taking him to small claims in hopes no one else experiences this.

On 12/6/2024 I found an add on FB market place advertising that they build patio furniture. I reached out via FB messenger and Corey Dinwiddie contacted me back. We spoke and he stated he could build me an outdoor sofa and two chairs and a coffee table. On 12/17/24 he sent me an invoice from his company D.I.N. Wood & Co to pay $799.50 via pay pal as a deposit. He stated it would take him 6 weeks to make the furniture. He also texted me his drivers license and contractor license and email. On Friday 1/3/2025 at 1011pm Corey delivered to my house the sofa frame. I paid him $460 in cash is what he requested. He stated the other items would arrive end of January. Today is 2/5/2025 and I have not received the rest of my furniture that I paid for. I've tried to contact Corey for the past 3 weeks over text, phone and email without any response. He did call me back on 2/1 saying he would finally deliver my stuff on 2/5. On 2/5 he did not show up. I tried to call him on 2/4 and 2/5 numerous times to confirm delivery and again he went missing. I found his brother Andrew Dinwiddie on FB and spoke to him. The brother said he would call Corey, but that I should go ahead and call the police and file a report as I was planning on doing. This is a scam. And I want to make sur Corey does not do this to others. His add is still all over fb marketplace. I reported him to FB marketplace. I will be filing a police report tomorrow. Thank you.
