I received an email from a "recruiter from Ceros Solutions based out of NY, that went as far as an interview on Teams and a job offer letter with W-4 forms, Emergency Contact forms and Direct Deposit forms. They claim that they will cover the cost to get you all the equipment you will need for you job during the interview and after they send the offer letter inform that they will be sending a check for the amount of the equipment that you will need to order. They state that the items must be ordered from a specific distributer who will do logos and everything for the company and do the software instillation. The check is supposedly from UMPQUA Bank via a distribution account through American Specialty Health Group, Inc. After calling the bank and the supposed distribution agency to validate the check the consensus was that this is a fraudulent check. The number that you can find for the Ceros address listed in the offer letter goes straight to an automated answering machine. When you look up the company from the email that is listed in the email correspondence it takes you to a software company not a medical company. The position that was supposedly offered was for a medical assistant who would work from home and be the go between for patients and providers as well as assisting with prescription refills and scheduling.
