I was initially contacted by text message after "applying" for a data entry position on Indeed. This did not come up as a job that I applied to. The name of the woman was Amber Garcia and asked me to download the app Telegraph. I was to message a Rosalie (HR) and give the code CENTERCODE33. Once I was messaging with Rosalie she interviewed me through text message questions. She then stated that I was hired by the company and that she would send a check in my email worth $3600, to immediately purchase the company's "equipment" and to keep $100 for myself as a bonus. Emailed checks are federally illegal and this scam was going 100% by the books as scams go, I let them know that a bank would not use that kind of check and she assured me they would. I then told her that after careful consideration I would have to decline the offer. Only after they had my full name, email and home address.
