They offer an escrow service to use when making transactions. This is fairly common in cryptocurrency markets and is a good way to do business usually. It offers protection for buyer and seller, but not when it is a scam.
They have a trusted seller section with one person achieving the rank of trusted seller, going by the handle of Alpha. He offers a less than legitimate service to turn $300-$600 into much more money. It all seems real in a dark underworld sort of way. He is very helpful and answers all of your questions. He has a lot of good reviews and testimonies including hundreds of pages of successful transaction reports. Verto, the admin of the site is in on this scam as well.
So you send the Bitcoin to the escrow service and wait for it to confirm. You are supposed to receive a confirmation code and then be taken to a webpage where you enter Alpha's username and the transaction can progress from there.
Here is what happened to me. After the Bitcoin confirmed I received the transaction code and was then taken to the supposed next page. However, it said that I did not have permission to do that. Bad sign. I Pm'd the transaction code to Alpha and then my screen went white. I couldn't see anything. I reloaded the page. Still white. I created another account and contacted Alpha and Verto explaining the situation. Screen went white. I switched to another IP and created yet another account. At this point I began posting in the threads about the escrow service being a scam. Screen turns white. Upon creating fourth account and changing IPs again I can see that all previous posts complaining are gone and then my screen goes white without even posting anything. All IPs controlled by my VPN are now blocked and I cannot access the page at all, even without creating an account. They clearly do not want the word getting out about this scam.
Some of you might say that I deserved this. You're probably right. I do. But they are cheating people out of money and the site itself is help cheat innocent people who are not involved in anything suspect out of money. Everyone needs to know about this.
Do not do business with Alpha. Do not use the escrow service. Help get this website taken down.
