I called a number under cheap cars for rent near me and a man named Roger ext.7200 from Enterprise Rental car in Fountainhills Arizona answered and offered a deal that required a purchase of a Master Card gift card as immediate payment for the $639.00 offered at $199.00 if purchased asap. He gave me an address of 15075 n. saguaro in Fountain Hills Arizona. He got real nervous when I said I would come in person to secure the rental. The address Wass not correct. I came home and called them again. agent told me there is no Roger and they don't ask for payment over the phone via gift cards.

I was contacted on my personal phone number through text by someone claiming to be my internship provider. The person claiming to be Cedric Bobo of Project Destined, asked that I get gift cards from the nearest store because he was unprepared for a meeting and prizes were to be given at the end. I was assured to be paid back by the first in time for rent. After the day came and went, I began to think it's possible I've been scammed and asked if anyone had been contacted. They made me aware this type of thing had happened during the summer but didn't warn any interns this term. At the end of the day, I spent $1200 on Google Play and Apple Store gift cards thinking I was helping my boss. I feel for the scam because they made it sound urgent like I had to get the gift cards before his meeting was over and I had never given my personal phone number to anyone. I assume they saw my posts on LinkedIn about the internship but I'm not sure how they got my phone number. I wrongfully thought since they had my number and info about the program it was the real Cedric Bobo.

My bank said that since I gave out the codes there is nothing I can do. I was very disappointed to know that they were aware of these schemes and simply forgot to warn those of us in this term because they thought it wouldn't happen again. I'm unemployed and disabled so this was a huge hit to my finances.

We were directed to a phone number off of the FuboTV site and the “customer service representative” attempted to coerce us into paying with Target gift cards, said they would stay on the phone while we went to the store to buy it, and then after obtaining credit card information through hacking into our cell phone attempted to charge $800 to the card. Luckily we were on the phone with the credit card company when the charge came through. This is criminal and/or this streaming service has no barrier to being hacked by third parties in other countries. STAY AWAY FROM FUBOTV
