The scammer tried to get me to pay 83.00 for my business certificate. Stated per letter that this is a solicitation, but what didn't make sense to me why I wouldn't get that from NC secretary state. Didn't send anything. Received the letter 4/5/23. Called NC state 4/6/23 to find out what was going on, only to learn its a scam and there is a labor law scam to, to be on the lookout for.

The scammer attempts to sell freely and openly available business documents for $70, claiming to provide a service. This person will provide a "Certificate of Good Standing" for my business, which is an official document, but this document is available and easily located on the Colorado Secretary of State's website.

This group or individual is attempting to prey on the ignorance of new business owners to take money from them.

I have attached the letter I received from them today.
