So many great bourbons listed at really good prices. And in stock. That should have been the red flag. But I was so exited to find Weller CYPB, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. $180 plus flat rate shipping of $30. Flat rate shipping should have been another Red Flag. Payment by Zelle and CashApp only. I don't use Zelle and only reserve CashApp for people I know. I emailed about using PayPal. I feel that's a more secure way to send $. Sure they said. And send Friendand Family, so no additional fee incurred. To a company doing legit business? Red Flag. Paypal? Sure they said and gave me an email address in Canada, and my money would be converted to CAN$. Their address listed on the web site is Chicago, IL. So why the Canadian conversion? Another Red Flag. But sucker me paid anyway. Now I'm told, when delivering to carrier, an insurance company stopped shipment and requires a refundable $100 to ship immediately and to be delivered to me today. RED FLAG! That was it! Too many Red Flags! They have yet to respond to my last email asking about both the carrier and insurance company names. My next step is to contact PayPal, but likely won't get anywhere because sent by Friends and Family like requested.

Online order. Payment through Zelle and I do have the receipt. Claim they never received payment which I have proven otherwise. Now claim they can not trace said payment so my order was dropped. Now they want me to pay again for transaction and guess what, price has gone up.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I recently purchased a bottle of bourbon thinking I was buying from a legit website or liquor store. When I went to process my order for a bottle of Weller cypb the website claimed it only took square cash or Zelle as payment. I thought this was strange but since they claimed they were a liquor store I believed it was the only way for them to process payment. Everything seemed to be in order and my order shipped or so they claimed however until the shipping service contacted me to tell i needed to provide a 300 dollar refundable shipping insurance deposit. They contacted me from both a email address and a text until I informed them I was not interested in their scam. After that the messages ceased. The person of contact was named Cody Adams and the email for payment was [email protected]
