Blue Trailers Reports & Reviews (4)

thought I was purchasing a horse trailer with living quarters. Was an older trailer but looked to be in decent shape from pics. Professional looking website. Hundreds of pics and detailed descriptions. Business type communication and correspondence. Answered all my questions and keep in touch regularly through email until bank transfer was complete. I'm such an [censored].

If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS ! These guys are great at what they Do! Heck of a website, lots of pictures, good details of the trailers, even a picture of the "staff/sales team". $6,000.00 later I realize that some people have no conscience whatsoever. And talk about bad timing, the covid-19 pandemic was just beginning, little did I know my wife would become unemployed because of it. I feel like I failed my wife and children because of the struggle we are in now because of the pandemic and I gave $6,000 away to some heartless individuals when I could have been using it to pay the utility bill or car payments. Although at the time I couldn't have predicted our misfortune, still, I should have known better. We scrapped for so long to get a trailer. It was going to be our anniversary gift to each other. I'm such a fool and I realize it more everytime I look at my wife and kids. Maybe I'll get past this but please, please take my advice - never, ever buy a big ticket item over the internet. If you can't see it and put your hands on it, leave it alone.

Well, I'm a fool. I'm young, and was on a desperate hunt for a trailer so I could transport my horse for a semi-emergency. Red flags that might appear for individuals more experienced in vehicle and trailer buying, didn't for me until it was too late. After I'd already sent them $2,700 for a trailer I know I'll never see. I found a listing for the trailer on Horseclicks, and didn't really field the business for a phone number, proper address, or license to operate. I believe these people are the same ones who ran the "Kanoo Rider LLC" scam that operated out of Michigan, but ran similar scams in Washington and Oregon which is where "Blue Trailers LTD" is based. The communications to me were brief and only through email, frequently avoiding questions I'd asked.

Oh well, lesson learned. Please be aware that they are now operating under a new name, "Equicoast Trailers LTD" after someone raised warnings about Blue Trailers on BBB.

I received a call (at work) from someone out of state wanting to verify the existence of this business. She had found a "great deal" on craigslist, but thought it seemed too good to be true. After she & I both did some research, we believe this to be a scam because the address on the website is non-existent & a business license could not be verified. In addition, they are "selling" these trailers at incredibly low prices...many less than half the retail value.
