12/20/20 I guess most of us loved Kiki. I am in Washington State. I sent an email to the website and they answered me at 3:00 AM, that should have been my first clue. Then I asked them where they were exactly and they didn't answer. I contacted them after arranging to have my sister pick up the kitten in the bay area. They asked me to pay the deposit by google pay and then send them a screenshot of the payment. They sent their google pay information, it was [email protected]. When we tried to pay it, the address didn't work so I called the phone number (415) 735-9322 and told them their gmail address didn't work. The person who answered could barely speak english. They had a very thick Asian sounding accent. I asked where exactly they were located and they paused and said San Francisco. I think most people from the area would have been more specific. I had a bad feeling so I looked up the phone number on my computer and found a couple of warnings on sites along with this one. I am now soured on getting another ragdoll altogether. Maybe some other time.
You would think that there would be a way to let google know that they need to take down these websites as soon as they are caught and that google pay could stop the payments to this gmail account once they are caught.

This person is operating out of Garden Of Ragdolls now with the SAME photos of Kiki as the ones listed here. I am out a lot of money as I fell for this scam, and had to do the same thing as above. Since this is a scam artist stealing others cats photos and posting them on different websites that he shuts down only to build again, I highly recommend complaining to IC3 part of the FBI. I only state this because this is an issue occurring now in multiple states. The way he is getting around this is that he is changing the email address he has you send money to when you "buy a kitten." He had the name listed as Rocard Mbianda, and you can see here that the name is different than above but the same phone number is used across all of them. Lesson learned! Never buy a cat through wire transfer of any kind and always go straight to a breeder that is local. Oh and the shipping the cat is so true. After you pay it will seem like it is legit. Then you will get a tracking number for dreamlinecarriers who you can barely understand that states they need another $999.000 to ship your kitten. I hope this person is caught, but if others come across this, use the IC3 FBI link in google to file a complaint.

Scammers phone again is same: 415-735-9322

I just contacted this ‘cattery’, and was told they are located in San Diego. Now, Kiki is apparently still available and would be delivered straight to my door; attached is the email and pic of the kitten being offered. Glad I did my research before giving over any money.

I, too, tried to purchase Kiki a couple days ago. I paid the $750 for Kiki + $150 for shipping to the breeder then was told I would get shipping info the next day. The next day I received an email from the shipping company that they needed $970 for travel insurance for the kitty and the money would be refunded upon delivery. I stupidly paid the money, concerned about the kitty being held in a cage for too long. Then the shipping company stopped responding and none of the phone numbers on their website worked. When I finally was able to get a hold of someone at the shipping company (4th number I found), not only could I not understand most of what they were saying, but the guy kept saying I needed to pay another $300 for the refundable travel insurance and hung up on me twice! Then the next day the breeder and the shipping company contacted me claiming the payment did not go through and providing brand new Zelle info to make another “refundable” $970 travel insurance payment to. I responded showing pictures that the payment went through the day before and my bank account was decreased and never received responses from the shipping company. The breeder kept texting me pressuring me to make a second $970 payment to the shipping company ASAP. I finally responded to the breeder indicating that I wanted to cancel the transaction and have my money refunded. He has not responded since that text. I have since filed reports with my bank and the police department. This is unacceptable.

Thank you for sharing your experience, helped me avoid going down this road, I’m so sorry this happened to you

I also was trying to buy kiki. After sending half the amount, I decided to say a friend would pick her up. They were in "san Francisco" this time. Ofcourse they tried covid, but I said in person 6 feet away. Haven't heard back.

Same - looked at area code on phone number only to be told they’re in San Diego

I found the Ragdoll Breeder website and started the process of sending a deposit. I was immediately alarmed by several clues that it was not legit (strange Venmo transactions on account provided, no willingness to provide references or vet info, etc). I read about pet scams coming from Cameroon Africa and the person I talked to had an African accent. Most telling is the cat pictures never change, prices are way below market and there are grammatical errors on website. Thankfully, I sent no money.

We sent by zelle half of the amount for a kitty, her name is Kiki. He said because of the COVID , we couldn’t go to Columbus OH to get the Kitten, we arranged to shipped to our home. It turns out that the tracking number and the shipping company did not exists, we think it is just a webpage. We have an extensive records of the communications by text massage of the arrangements for the purchase, the payment, and the shipment. The total amount was $850, and we sent $425. In retrospect we see how naive we were, since we have now found several pages with similar information with the same photos of the cats.
