Received a message asking for information about BCDP government grant offering assistance with Rent, Bills stating this was not a loan and it would like a government grant

I was contacted this morning about this, but I had the feeling immediately something wasn't right, it said genuine BCDP and that UK government is genuine, I checked here and then blocked immediately and reported to Facebook, I also asked my friend in the police force to check it out as well and if there was anything else I could do. As the friend request came with some people I know on their profile I told them and also posted it on my profile page to alert others as if there isn't enough going on in the world right now we have to put up with things like this risking vulnerable people its disgraceful.

Made contact from a relative and told if I had heard about BCDP AND MY RELATIVE SENT ME THE BCDP CONTACT RECIEVED TEXT MESSAGE FROM MARIA - MIGHTY FROM BCDP SINCE THE MES SUPPOEDLY CAME FROM MY RELATIVE I TRUSTED AND FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS AND TEXT NAME ADDRESS CHELL # LICENSE FOR ID THAT IT'S ME , WAS APPROVED THEN GOT THE INFO OF FEES TO RECIEVE LETS SAY $500.00 TO RECIEVE $ 30,000.00 BY THIS TIME I FOUND OUT IT WAS A SCAM BUT TOO LATE TO RETRACT INFO , PASSWORD FOR EMAIL AND FACEBOOK . CALLED RELATIVE WAS TEXTED BACK THEIR CELL PHONE WAS BEING REPAIRED BY AT&T.

I also had a friend message me and ask me if I heard about this. I said no so he gave me a number to text.
All in all I have probably 1000 messages from a guy named Mark and I made a complaint against him so I started dealing with Adam Hurst by email.
My friend that told me about it actually helped me to pay it because he got his money.
They got thousands of dollars from me and now want three thousand dollars to deliver.
I know of a lady today that was to get hers delivered then all of a sudden the truck broke down and you have to pay to fix it so you can get your money.

It was a referral from a Facebook friend on messenger. The friend said message this person and tell you wasn’t to apply for the grant. Person contacted me on messenger asked for general information, name , birthday, address etc. Then said they award Government and private grants to low income people in need. They asked ‘How would I use the money ? A little time went buy and they said I was approved. But not to tell anyone until I received the money so funds would claimed doubly for that day. The next day they said ‘again keep this private’. Then another message was sent that said’ You are all set, you just have to pay a file fee and Tax clearance then Federal Express would send my package. Again keep private so no one will try to steal your money.‘’ Then they sent a message for me to open. I did not. I krypton replying to the person who sent me the information and they confirmed all I said and that they had there money in there acc. This all did not sound right. I kept asking the Facebook friend questions about do they need SSN# and would the grant affect other Federal or state programs the answer from both were NO.

A social media female contacted me,never met?on how are you doing?and introduced a better community development program?which includes a check or grant?i looked it up on Facebook and it had it's own page,so i figure what to lose?i gave out my address,ca id,my mothers name and my Facebook account number,which they used to change my account and delete my history but i saved everything and got it on file!if you need they also got my ebt card number so it could be a federal case!if they choose to go that route? He address me as a national funds recovery service worker with id-jose a walker agent#9900167215 issue date 5 21 2018 i wouldn't have known if i didn't check my email to find that my account was changed my Facebook. I've completely shut it down and is under investigation. This man had a federal government id and said he was a social worker there's a female accomplice involved which the name is in my account which is locked out.

Was supposedly contacted on Facebook Messenger by a friend about the Better Community Development Program about getting a grant from the government. I contacted the person I was told to contact a Linda Johnson by text.

She had me fillout a form through text and said that I qualified for a $100,000.00 grant but I had to pay $2,000.00 Filing, Labeling and Delivery Fees. She wanted me to go buy Amazon Gift Cards and send her the codes.

The fee alerted me and then when I was told to buy the Amazon Cards I knew it was a scam.

I got what I thought was a FB instant messenger from a friend. Telling me about this. She is some one I trusted so I believed her. Told me to contact James Grow 3234844267 or [email protected]. I emailed him and he asked for my name, address, phone number, income and driver license. I sent him the information. Within 15 minutes he said that I qualify for between $10000 and $100000. He had sent me information about what I need to give the people who deliver my money. Then I get an email telling me that I have to pay a delivery fee which is based on the amount I get. During all of this I kept getting messages from my "friend ", telling me I can trust this guy. But in the back of my mind it didn't seem right. So I called the BBB. Please people do not fall for this.

I had the same exact thing happen to me. Exactly, down to my friend. They are also relentless. I must have over 50 texts from them even after I said no. I received phone calls and texts at 3 in the morning. I can't believe they haven't been stopped yet.

Was initially contacted via Facebook after a friend's account had been hacked. A few days later was contacted via text message. Was told I had won a $50,000 grant but had to pay $500 via the purchase of five $100 Amazon gift cards. I did not comply with the request, knowing it was a scam.

I ask the person I thought was my Facebook friend why did I have to pay money to receive money The person I thought was my Facebook friend was telling me they did and it they give them $600.00 dollars and receive $150,000 delivered by Fedex at your front door they said it was legit I sent my ID which was a big mistake but I never answer the question about how much money I wanted so the stole my identity and changed my password and email address to Facebook account and phone number now I can’t get on back on Facebook because they’re saying I’m impersonation is against Facebook rules. I tried twice to warn my friends but Facebook keeps deactivating my new page. I ever changed my phone number and thought that would help nothing. Now their using my Facebook page trying to scam people.

A man calling himself George, pretending to be my brother-in-law, contacted me via Facebook messenger. He said I could get a government grant for $90,000. He said he had gotten the grant. He said he didn't believe it either until he received the cash at his front door. A man by the name of Hammond Hayes contacted me and asked me to fill out some paperwork. The paperwork asked for my name, address, county, date of birth, marital status, email address, phone number, occupation, gender, age, any hearing issues, credit card numbers, income from social security, credit score, rent or house payment, purpose of the grant, etc. I caught on and the only thing I had given them was my cell phone number. I won't be in contact with them anymore.

I started receiving messages on Facebook Messenger in December 2017 from a Smith David Jordan with BCDP Federal Government Program. I was selected by Marc Zuckerburg. Online International Facebook Pool. I was to receive a $90,000 Facebook Promotion. He is not someone that I know. He also contacted two of my friends and stated I won money. He initially claimed I won $150,000. He requested I send $450 to hold my package. I would need to send up to $5000 to receive my prize. I purchased four or five i-tune gift cards as instructed. Total sent $450 on March 31.
