I retired this year and looking for affordable insurance … Im into this for over $1500.00 and so mad to find out they are scamming me ! I will file a complaint with our insurance commissioner’s office and have to close my checking account which leads to more problems. And now I have to try to find a decent insurance and apparently no insurance agent wants to help unless you are looking for a supplement to Medicare and I’m only 63…this system is so unfair! I’m left to go back online to find insurance again which is what got me in this scam to begin with!

Not a real insurance provider. Some sort of MLM reseller of insurance. They will automatically add life insurance, that you don't ask for, and that's where they make the most money. I did get an actual insurance plan, but not at all what I asked for. Don't trust anyone that sends you to this website.

I googled Blue Shield of California enrollment and a link for enrollment popped up. I called the number to enroll my kids and a man named Patrick extension 0011 picked up. We want to enroll my kids in Blue Shield like my wife and I because I have been waiting forever for Covered CA to add him and he needs to be vaccinated before school starts on 8/6. I was told the coverage would be effective immediately and the $711 I was charged, would roll over to October and I would just pay the $411 balance I usually pay for my wife and I for September to October. They said they would email me a confirmation which I never received. Patrick told me the medical ID no of xm5915442 could be used immediately, or I could login to Blue Shield to download ID cards. I tried last night and this morning and found nothing. I called the company and they told me it would take time to get into Blue Shield’s system. I called Blue Shield and they told me that xm5915442 is an invalid Blue Shield ID number. I called them back a second time after they confirmed my policy was effective 8/3, but in the second call they said it would be effective 8/15. I then asked for a refund because this was not what they told me over the phone. They told me they would need to call me back to cancel. I have not received a call back and researching benefitsportal.net, it seems like this company is a scam and they don’t tell you they are selling you subsidiary insurance or even no insurance at all. I am now out $711 due to their lies and fraud. I will contact all agencies I can to complain.

Benefitsportal.net is a SCAM and they use " Older People claiming they are Health Insurance Provider to get their hands on their money and give no Health Insurance. We need to come together and put a stop to this SCAM.

I agree… I’m so mad that I fell victim to this. Over $1500.00 dollars after 3 months premiums only to discover I am not even insured for a DOCTOR visit! The guy I talked to was very good promising me a great insurance plan for my needs after I retired earlier this year. How can they get away with this?

Taylor/ her insurance license # w578844 for everyone to check. They have my bank info which is great! I'm really ticked now.

While trying to battle the insurance company, who is impossible to get ahold of, I found this site. I fear we have been a victim of scam. What are our options? What do we do about it? Over the 6 months I had this insurance, I paid $286/month after the $99 enrollment fee, that’s a total of about $1800. We are now on the hook for about $1400 in dental bills that insurance has refused to pay. It’s hard to battle them when you cant even get anyone on the phone. I’m not sure what to do.

I have also been scammed they did not disclose that this was an amendment insurance only . I have been trying to call them and I can speak with them but just get the run around my hand surgery that I have been waiting for over month is in 2 days. My total to pay $7,292 they paid only $400 . I pay monthly $280 plus $150 enrollment.

Do not share information this whole operation is a scam, I was looking for coverage and never got a return refund or anything

I was looking to switch medical insurance so I looked online and filled out my information to get a quote. I got a call from 1-844-493-0474. The quote the agent gave me was too good to be true so I started asking questions. He grew inpatient and pressured me to sign the enrollment after he texted me the link to review. I got suspicious when he said he couldn't email me the quote, only via text. He also asked for payment type before he sent me the link, I told him I don't know and I need time to make a decision and a few days to think about it. He then told me the quote will go way soon and got very rude on the phone. At this time I've confirmed it's a scam. Please be aware, do not become a victim by giving out your credit card or bank account information or your SS#. Don't become a victim. The link he sent me was https://benefitsportal.net.

They called me when I was looking for insurance. Rebecca told me they were a subsidiary of united healthcare a private healthcare PPO. For my age would be $258 and everything sounded so good. She texted me enrollment link (benefits portal.net/enrollment) I checked some boxes and signed my name. They charged me $258 + 99 membership fee. I never received a email form provider to check out my new benefits. Rebecca also gave me customer service number 214-267-9305 (which always goes straight to voicemail) I come to find out the number is able to text. After leaving 3 voicemails she texted me. I don't understand why people can do this to people looking for health insurance. Buyers beware. I was looking for insurance and provided my contact info that's when I started getting phone call from everybody so I feel I could trust them , my fault. I try to text her again today that I never got email no response and I text to try to get my money back no response.

Business that pretended to provide healthcare plan online is dangerous to your funds....it sounds simple and but they stated they were a plan my elderly aunt enrolled in has a enrollment fee of 99.00 dollars and the plan cost is $173.00 a month needed to be paid upfront on 4/29/2021 to be effective for May 1 2021 My aunt gave her debit card # and this scam business request the funds from her bank Chase and it currently pending and has already been reported as fraud and being monitored by the bank to see if they will receive the funds or let it return to my aunt account in 3-4 business days... Doing my research ?? and seeing about 3 customers complaints verify my suspicions are accurate the complaints all stood out the one complaint was a the same format of deception.Atena plan was promised that’s a lie Enrollment member ship fee required that’s a lie Unable to register the plan with false temporary password a lie/ but after many attempts and complaining to their members # 1888 they open a white collar scam portal biggest lie/deception Called benefits # for cancellation claim they need your personal info to supply a # to billing/or cancellation dept that’s a lie Sadly I should have paid more attention to my anunt concerns of buying insurance on line. It’s sad and disgusting ?? that these have no conscious or fear of their actions. Please if you reading this take it serious ?? If you have been a victim to this or any scams. Please report don’t stay a victim before a fighter for justice.
